Mozart went on the campaign to discredit some players for issing more than one tackle - also for a change he included Morne Steyn - but left out his other idols De Jongh and Allberts from the list.
The inclusion of Morne Steyn in his list was in fact surprising. He has in the past ignored Morne Steyn's dismal defending or glossed it over - same as he did with Alberts and De Jongh - but this time he included him - which really is surprising, In the case of Morne the situation in the last three tests he started in was as follows:-
Perth - 15 tackle attempts - 8 missed tacklesPretoria - 11 tackle attempts - 3 missed tacklesDurban - 12 tackle attempts - 5 missed tackles
So in the three tests Morne Steyn started je attempted 38 tackles and of those he missed 16. That represents a missed tackle ratio of 42,1%. In the case of the Pretoria test the missed tackle ratio of 27,2% by Morne was ignored by Mozart and the praise song of Morne was hilarious and questionable since there was not a single comment about Morne's defensive lapses.
The omission of Alberts and De Jongh from the list of players who missed more than 1 tackle was basically dishonest and an obvious attempt to mislead members of the site, What complicated the issue further is the fact that he attacked certain payers for being deficient, but never gav e the missed tackle ratio's of the players involved, When challenge on that score he went quiet and refused to place the issue in full perspective.
We need at least to strive towards having a discussion based on full implications on this site - but it seems that some members try and hide facts by attacking certain players they dislike and ignoring the deficiencies of the players they like, That basically is a case where honest assessment of player performances by Mozart is a farce.

No it wasn't dishonest. The stats were revised after about 6 hours as they frequently are, we can only go by the published material.....apologize.

Mozart
Apology accepted. But why not give the missed tackle ratio in the first instance?

No particular reason it was a list of missed tackles. But if I were listing missed tackle ratios it would look like this
Mbonami 0/2
Mapoe 0/1
Faf 5/4
Hougaard 5/4
Habana 4/3
Morne 7/5
Louw 3/1
Kitshoff 3/1
Alberts 7/2
DeJongh 12/3

Funny the way Morne and de Jongh's stats are referenced And Faf and Mapoe fly under the radar. By the way Tokkie I wasn't apologizing, why should I apologize because a reputable site updated their records....I was inviting you to apologize for yet another lurid heading now you know the facts.

I don't need to - I wrote an item in which the real figures were given before you wrote your one - so I doubt that excuse hold water. I also gave the missed tackle ratio's of the players and was merely polite when I said your apology is accepted.
Without the missed tackle ratio's the number of missed tackles is meaningless. So try again.

Quacky
I tried repeatedly to make peace with Mozart - but it does not last because he broke every agreement we entered into. Whenever one differs from him the personal attacks follows. It is not only me - it was even worse with Saffex and a few other posters.

Quacky, the key to understanding Moffie (aka Mozart) is to picture him as a spiteful and vindictive schoolyard bully surrounded by a pack of arse-kissing toadies who stroke his ego and suck up to him shamelessly.
Moffie has earned a deserved reputation over a number of years on this board for being a boastful, conceited and pompous old liar who hasn't got the first clue about rugby (or anything else for that matter) but who tries to maintain a semblance of credibility by surrounding himself with the weakest bunch of losers imaginable (known as the Servile Gimps) whose only contributions on this board are to attack anyone who dares to criticise their master and to gush and fawn over everything he says . . . no matter how stupid or ignorant.
The Servile Gimps (Dense, Baboon-ou, DumbAss and Cer adunce to name a few) sometimes have a snap and a snarl among themselves to see who gets to be the Alpha-Gimp. Dense is the current Alpha-Gimp and that means he gets to shove his head up Moffie's arse before the other Gimps.
Hope that helps you understand some of the bizarre behaviour on this board.

Haaaaaaaaaahahahahahaaa!!
There you have it, Quack.
In fact Redneck's being rather nice.
Don't take anything Mozart says to heart.
I'd also recommend you show him a little patience. The poor dear's in dire need of a home with round the clock care.
Sitting in soiled diapers for hours on end is bound to upset one's day.
Can't be pleasant.
