No, if Mozart was a weak and childish individual - and we know he was also a simpering fop - then Moffie has chosen well.
I just wonder if Wofgang Amadeus lied every time he opened his mouth . . . if he did then it's a perfect fit!

I would say that Beethoven may also be appropriate,  Beethoven went deaf as a result - I beleive of syphilis.  Moz is deaf when it comes to rugby - and sometimes I think blinded by prejudice as well. 
In the Schonbrunn Palace is a painting of Maria Theresa at the opera,  In one of the nack rows is Mozart when he was still a small boy.   The painting I really liked was one where Maria Theresa and her husband was posing.  His fingers are poined at her and hers at herself.  Now - Guess who was the Boss?   He was the Emporer - she was only his wide.  But she was Queen of Hungary and Grand Duches of Austria - yet she governed the country.

JW  Beethoven is superb, but a bit heavy handed. The elegant Mozart can achieve the same result with four violins. The Overture  to Don Giovanni, one of the worlds musical treasures was written in one evening. That's genius.

 My guess is Mozart could not play a single instrument.....there is little talent in stringing a few tunes to paper

Beethoven fits more the Boks style of play than Mozart IMO Wagner could be a good fit also .

Nobody argues about the fact that Mozart was a prodigy and his music is of the ebst ever composed.   However, he was a protege of the Austrian emperor - or better still maria Theresa and all indications were that he wa sin fact an immature person.   Musically brilliant - but otherwise not so.

Dave calls for higher honors for every junior Cheever.  But when things were real this year he called for Goosen, then for Lambie....Pollard was like his call for Willie ....very late and not convincing. You I assume remain locked in to Goosen....hahaha.

It is not as easy as you say about stringing a few notes together nad creating a tune.   A syuymphony ochestra has a wide range of instruments and a score is to be written for each different instrument.   So to get the tunes required from each instrument correct is not as easy as it may sound.
I love all music which is tuneful - whether classical or modern.   The Beatles for isntance used snippets from classical music to create most of their songs and I canot see how anybody cannot love some of the famous classical music compositions.   The best song I have ever heard on any stage whatsoever by anybody was the Vienna Boys Choir singing the Blue  Danube.  Nothing could ever beat that one.
Mozart is correct about Mozart being a genius - but some of the music composed by other classical composers are also great.   
I adore ABBa, the Beatles, Neil  Diamond, Elvis Presley, Tom Jones and a host of 20th century singers, but am not really into the latest music - since it lacks tunes and that makes music a relaxing experience.  
Mind you in Durban there was a drinking hole where I had a flat.  I used to go there  on occassion with some of my friends.  They had all kinds of songs sung and even a skelton swinging around in the place - the drunker  you got - the better you joined in singing - Great Fun!!!
        

 My Uncle trained as a musician in London.I think his favourite genre remains Jazz even though he has a wide variety of likes from Classical to Pop/Rock and plays every instrument. He actually specialises in the Trumpet....had to give up his other great love, Cricket, as a Schoolboy, because he could not risk being hit by a cricket ball in the mouth !

Of the current crop I shouted loudest over Pollard, Esterhuizen, Jessie Kriel, Marx and du Toit........ is that the whole squad huh?
As for Pollard over Goosen.....nope have never made that call but have said there is little to choose between them and Lambie.

Have a look at this thread where the disgusting liar Moffie claims he "spotted Pollard's potential early in the S15" and my subsequent reply where I exposed his stinking lies.

Note also that the coward never had the guts to defend himself on that thread but rather slunk away pretending it hadn't happened.

The first mention we can find from Moffie regarding Pollard happened in late May (remember, he claimed "early in the S15" and this would have been just before the playoffs) where he said it was a "long shot" that Pollard might make the Bok bench one day.

The flyhalf that Moffie was actually punting at the time he claimed he was on Pollard was Fat Frans Steyn as you can see here (note that Moffie doesn't even mention Pollard on a discussion about possible Springbok flyhalves). Before that Moffie had jumped off the Pat Lambie bandwagon to jump on the Johan Goosen bandwagon . . . as you can see here.

The man is a shocking liar and looking at him accusing other of bandwagoning here shows what a stinking hypocrite he is as well.

I am a musician, please note, NOT AN ARTIST!!! I can also play a bunch of instruments, and I can say one thing. Almost all good music has roots in classical music. Very little can be achieved in music without using the scales, progressions and patterns inherited from classical music.  
People may not like classical music , but they should appreciate that what they listen to is because of it.  

"We can find" .... hahaha. RooiAAS is employing an army trying to find references for moz on Pollard. Let me simplify it for you. In the first game I saw Pollard play, I made comment on his ability to cut the line. After seeing a bit more I consistently picked him as the flyhalf for the future.
My choice for this year was Frans, much maligned by many.....but when he was at 10 the Sharks had the most successful run of any team in the S15. My immediate back up was Morne.
As it transpires Pollard was even more developed than I thought and Frans has been lost through bureaucratic ineptitude. So Pollard is now the man.
It's not a big deal, but while others like RooiAAS were picking Goosen, Lambie, Boshoff, Potgieter  or hahaha Swiel.....I was solidly in the Pollard camp.

Bloo I think the South African aversion to classical music is partially a cultural thing....it was seen as pretentious and part of upper class " aansit". If folks just listened to the music and gave it a chance, my guess is they would find a new source of inspiration.  

Moz, you are probably right. What people also don't seem to realise is how many different types of classical music there are. It is not just opera or orchestral. They have probably watched their favourite movies with goosebumps compliments of the classical soundtrack.   

Absolutely. My daughter writes big piano music that sounds like Movie Theme music. She has 3 CDs  out and does a few recitals a year. People like it, but even in this huge market it's hard to get traction. 

 Yip Moffie has always been pro useless Morne at 10 and had a big push for Frans out of position at 10.
Both poor, poor selections summing up Moffie 's selections in general. He never touted Pollard.
