Well this wasn't that hard to call, but to get the turning point right, takes some doing:
"Well de Jongh, who has a test tackling success rate of 93.5% is back, and no doubt the Stormers' defence will be as tightly sealed as a can of Dr Pepper. And all of those flippy Brumbie passes look like interception material with Aplon, de Jongh and the Jean ready to pounce."
The Stormers were good value for their win, although it was in doubt until van den Heever's interception. Aplon was spendid, as was Jean. Van den Heever is a test quality wing who needs some support. De Jongh looked a little rusty....but he and Jean get up so fast. It's structure not necessarily heavy tackling that disrupts an opponent.
To me Jantjies, whose aimless second half kicking got the Stormers in trouble was the only problem. He did hold his pass well though for Bekker's try. Taute did some good things and some clumsy things.
In the pack Bekker is now playing to his awesome full potential. That rip tackle of George Smith shows the strength of this man. The rest of the pack were very good, Kitshoff excepted....he gifted the Brumbies crucial points. Kolisi had a good first half but was wobbly in the tackle in the second.
And once again George Smith outplayed another aspirant Bok fetcher on the deck. Coetzee and Kolisi just aren't test material.
