Up until about 2 years ago Multichoice included in their rugby content maor Top 20 matches and weekly highlights of matches played,

However, Groupe Canal + has bought the majority shareholding in Multichoice effective from 25 September 2025 and in the case of French Soccer that has been introduced in the Mulichoice broacasting already.

I got an e-mail from Multichoice on the monthly privcing and it is fr to garbled to amke any reals sense - bar for he issue of F rench socce mentioned,

However, what I am hoping fr is that Top 14 rugby would also become part of the rugby schedules of Multichoice offering - especially the new majorty owners are French. Hope it also happens o Top 14 rugby and also the European Champions Cup.matches starting on 5 December 2025.

Not according to the newsletter - there was a decrease in contributions - but I cannot make out anything from it.

I was for amny years paying for two Mulitchoice services since 2001, one was for my own usage and the other was paying for the service provided to my brother and after his deah for the service provided to my sister-in-law, The latter service ended up in costing me R1 104 per month and my own serice was costing me R1 275. Since November 2025 my own service costs have been reduced to R1 104.

So I believe there must have been a reduction in charges in the prices charge for top level viewing as well - but the news letter mentioned showed reductions in charges by Multichoice as to lower charge models, but nothing mentione as to the hiher level costs.
