I watched the game and was struck by the fact that Gloucester in fact self-destructed, losing 41-15 in the end, They were poor in all facets of the game, In the match Mostert was used as blind side flank and fom what I have seen was not particularly successful,
There is no stats report on ESPN at present and judging by the point count and from what I have seen Gloucestor tried to be competitive in the first 15 minutes and then caved in opening the flood gates for a bonus point win by Munster.
I see elsewhere that Morne' scored the winning try plus his usual excellence off the tee ..
Gloucester appear to be falling apart- is Ackerman all he was cracked up to be?

I am not sure about Ackerman - he made his name at the Liosn playing in SH conditions. It represents a much faster game than the NH condition allow for,
The SH makes allowance for athletic types - the NH teams are slower and much of their game is based on driving mauls and defense against same, The absence of that aspect in the lions environment allows for players like Mostert to flourish in SH conditions - but losig the plot in the NH environment.
I think that it is very hard on Ackerman and that may affect his future at the club.
Mostert at 7 is certainly an indication that perhaps he is too light for the slow Northern Hemisphere conditions to play lock.
He works well in a fast tempo game at lock. He could be an option for the Japan World Cup- but it depends on how the Northern Hemisphere referees see it- as they allow more counter rucking by entering the ruck from anywhere and everywhere.

You missed the point totally as per normal. I made a very clear and understandable point and that relates to the difference of successful rugby played between the NH and SH teams. So a successful SH coach may not be successful in the NH and vice-versa.
SH coaches clueless about backline play and linking between forwards and backline players (ie playing the so-called 15 man game) are normally successful in the NH. You can decide yourself who these coaches are,

That exactly is the problem - being good at what Ackerman produced at the Lions does not necessarily makes him a good coach in a different environment where he has to contend with most players not good in a fast moving game and who will never be, Ackerman may yet succeed in England - and his team standing in the Premier League is still good enough to prevent a shortening or discontinuing of his contract, but whether he would succeed to the level he did for the Lions is questionable.
