Murray likely to join Kings

Cape Town - Former Springbok centre Waylon Murray looks likely to join the Southern Kings ahead of next year's Super Rugby competition, according to Die Burger's website.

The 26-year-old Murray, who played three Tests for the Boks in 2007, doesn't have a contract with the Lions anymore and was in Port Elizabeth this week to undergo fitness tests.

The Kings will play Super Rugby next year at the expense of the Lions, who were South Africa's worst performing Super Rugby team over the last few years.

Other notable recent signings from the Kings include centre Andries Strauss (Cheetahs), flyhalf Demetri Catrakilis (WP), hooker Bandise Maku (Lions) and lock Steven Sykes (Sharks).

All I can add to this is "Ha bloody ha"

Aside from Catrakilis - the rest are not anything to write home about.  Murray would not be accepted by any other franchise and that says a lot.   Sykes was under threat from the Marais brothers and Du Toit - hence the move.  The other signings are basically second-stringers and not top notch players.

The joke is not even funny.
