Hougaard is the only thinking player of the three of them and has the better boot actually! He has that x-factor is the only one who will try to compete .Reinach is like you said just a fast guy, but he will get better in 3 or 4 seasons defo not this season. Pienaar is utterly uselsee. Cant kick, cant pass, never was much of a runner, and is so in a daze all the time.
About Lambie. He just did what he has been doing for five years. Cant blame the guy really he never raised himself up as a messiah or picked himself. Just a really average player.
Oh and welcome. I dont really know you but welcome back all the same just in time for the real action!

Welcome back - hope you are fine.
In essence I agree with you about Hougaard - but am very unhappy with Pienaar as well. The only scrummie that showed some spark this year was Reinach and I ma happy with his inclusion in the squad.
Not too happy with some of the other dinosaurs - such as Morne, Alberts, Bakkies and Matfield, but we cannot have all our choices in teh squad - now can we.

Cheers for that Gonzo..I should be back more often now that my container from NZL is being delivered to our new house on Tuesday this week when we get the keys. Will have Foxtel and broadband installed at the earliest convenience too so that I dont miss another game.
Mikey, you will never be happy with guys like Alberts and co because you are a fan of "total rugby" so to speak and these guys offer only one thing but the one thing they do offer, they are amongst the best in the world for and may be exactly what we need in England in just over a years time.Reinach's spark and passion can not be questioned. Its his execution that can..He is as unreliable as they come in a 9 jersey..Lets look at some of the greats..Marshall, Joost, Gregan and Genia..You know exactly what you are getting on game day and they never seem to make rookie errors..Reinach is a bit of a lucky packet...He tries exceptionally hard but sometimes a little too hard it seems..I dont know bro..Right now, he just does not inspire confidence..
If Hogaard was amongst our backs, he would have never been forced onto the wing..He would have been invested in at 9 but guys in higher places than us must feel that he is not good enough at 9 to play there consistently..Pienaar is probably our most educated boot at the moment so he will probably get the 9 jersey and that may not be the worst thing when I look at the options but it still sends shivers down my spine when I see him take the field..Kockott, Du Preez and McCleod should have been invested in!

Just Win, I was using this site called Wiziwig.tv and that's how I watched the Sharks embarrass themselves against the Cheetahs but it was very unreliable and kept freezing/buffering that it was actually not a pleasure to watch.
Duno why because earlier that evening, I watched the Crusaders vs Blues and that was perfect feed!

Th issue here is funny - Hougaard a thinking player - what a joke.. He is as much a thinking player as Morne Steyn is - no thinking - just Zero - playes who must be told what to do in advance and then the execution is poor.
You really are funny insofar as performance assessments are concerned.

Some feeds are better than others. I always check a couple of them before the games & have one I am watching & another with the sound off in case the one I am watching crashes of slows down.
Anyway, you will have Foxtel soon so no worries

I agree Boklogic, Kockott has been given a really raw deal for a long time now. He should have been called up in 2009 and hasnt really done anything wrong since then. The modern 9 needs to be competitive and Pienaar just isnt that at all. He would be better as a fullback where he can do the least damage. Hougaard is not perfect but I back him, he has done well in a really early build of a new era Bulls outfit.
But hey, you gotta admit, your itching to see what Pollard can do? right? The kid looks like a whole other specimen compared to lambie and goosen.

Welcome back Bok Log! You will see we have a real nutter in gonz ou the grunt (GOG) posting here. He gets a few things right and many dramatically wrong.
Sharks were just exhausted - to think they whipped both finalists!!
Personally I would probably go for Reinach and Morne as our half back pair. Morne can mentor Reinach through the game. Give Pollard some 20 minutes etc. Have Hougaard on the bench. So at all times an experienced half back with the green horns.
Loose trio of Coetzee, Vermuelen and Louw. Possibly putting Louw at 7? That represents quite a nice step up in speed and work rate.
Have in two power locks who are also mobile like Etzebeth and De Jager. Give Malherbe 30 minutes against the Argies. Beast Bissie and Jannie to start.Center Jean and Allende. Back three , Habana, Hendricks and Willie.
Gentlemen that is not a bad side at all.
In sumary:Beast, Bissie and JannieEtzebeth and De Jager. If Etztebeth is not ready its Bakkes and De Jager ( Etzebeth off bench).Coetzee, Vermuelen and LouwReinach, Morne, Habana, Jean, Allende, Hendricks and Willie.Reserves Du Toit (Lets see if he can scrum against Argies) Malherbe and StraussBakkies, Alberts/Mohoje. Hougard, Lambie and Jan Serfontein
We cant do much better than this right now.

Reinach is just this years JJ. Granted he is a more talented runner than JJ....but just as inept at his basic functions. He was AWOL at 5 rucks last week, kicks poorly and doesn't orchestrate the phases. We might as well select Habana at scrum half, he is also a good runner and has a better sense of the game....if running is all that counts.

Mozart..I hear you brother...I was one who felt like we could have a gem in Reinach..Then I felt like he was unreliable..The issue is, I still feel like that about the guy which is no good for Bok rugby..He can have flashes of brilliance and he can have utter rushes of blood..Not what you want in a specialist position! Way too much maturing as a player needs to happen there..Another premature selection!
Cloudy, I hope you are well girl..Bike was sold a couple weeks before I left NZL..It was not worth taking. I am scheduled to meet a guy here on Saturday morning about buying his bike. I was going to have one this weekend gone past but I got messed around. The bloke text me on the morning I was heading to see him and said he had just sold it!! Oh well, plenty more where that came from ;-)
The weather here has been a treat hey..I miss my family and friends back in good ol' NZL though and have already booked my first holiday back..11-15 Sept..Perfectly coinciding with the 13 Sept...Whats the occasion you wonder...Well Cloudy, that is the day the Boks insert the knife into the heart of the AB's in Wellington ;-) The knife will then be twisted a few weeks later in the republic putting the AB's and their fans out of their misery;-)NZL, with all its wind, rain and storms is a place that grows on you pretty quick and I will never write coming back there off..It is a well run place, it was good to me and I am stoked I have the option to return there.

Boklogic: the logistical part of moving is always a pain & IMO this is offset by discovering new places. Looks like the move did not improve your logic & the Bok part of your name is also still shaky, lol I am envious that you have the chance to see some test matches between Boks & the Mighty All Blacks, see if you can bring yourself to cheer in appreciation when the ABs score one of their masterful tries,
