this is the match we all have been waiting for between two great rugby teams. Ultimately, this should have been one of the best matches we've had in a while. It should have been a fair contest between the two great rugby nations, but that chance was taken away from us, and we had no control over the situation. The excitement and nervousness went hand in hand as soon as the boys in Green & Gold took to the field. Alas, I fear we should have been weary of the French Ref after all, despite HM's assurance that we shouldn't be. And yes, the Ref was heavy handed towards our Boys, which made it look like we were out played by our opposition, but in fact we weren't. A lesson has been learned, and that lesson is that, SA should never underestimate the power of the REF who could single handily win the match should he favours one team over another. As a fellow SA supporter, I'd like to say to all my Great SA, don't loose heart; for this match did not effectively reflect what the Boys in Green & Gold are capable of. P.S. there are two matches to go @ our backyard, and hopefully this stuff doesn't happen again. God bless South Africa

Yea fair play I understand, ruined my night aswell. Could have affect the outcome? absolutely and it was I was actually enjoying seeing the abs put under the pump for a change. BUT would have affected the outcome? I don't know that... and neither do you. The other shit thing of course is that this COULD affect the outcome the RC.

Was the ref crap ? yes .Did he cheat ? no .Did the ABS or their fans have anything to do with it ? no.Do I remember watching the disgusting results when SA got to pick their own ref ? Yes !

Blame the ref all you want but think back to when a certan NH ref gifted France a RWC final and what Bok fans had to say to us about that result ' Now apply to self !

There you are ,jobs a good 'un !

HOLY SHIT, well done all blacks, ....yes ref was complete shit. BISMARK was an animal he was pumping. Slade really stood up. READ wat a great game. SA were incredible. They did SA proud. They really smashed the crap out of the AB. Hats off to the Springboks they played extremely well. A lot of dodge calls helped the AB out. In the 2nd half the AB found another gear. Sa never gave up. Well done NZ. Very hard test in SA, id expect the fists to fly there.

Not going to take pride in this match, it should've been 15 vs 15 and unfortunately the ref either had a prematch mandate or grossly overacted. Now looks as if the decider will be in SA......thanks to the Boks for a great match and contest.

hey Cloudy ! Tired of arseholes trying to take away the win from our boys , its disgusting and not in the spirit of the game . Bismark got away with some filthy eye gouging garbage a few years back and is probably getting back slaps for injuring DC ,so fuck him and his horse ,undeserving of sympathy  .And I thought better of Habana but he pulled a slimy bit of play to take out Dagg so fook him too! The Boks were never going to win ,even when they turned the ball over they kicked it away and were never in front . At half time the ABS have won 117 out of 121 when in front ,so 76 more years !!!!

By my count I will be One Hundred and Eleventy Three when next the Boks win at Eden park !

Yes old wargramps, perhaps it's best you go and have your cup of hot milk and digestive biscuit and go to bed. You sound just like a sour geriatric with a leaky incontinence pad, sitting on his veranda and shouting at passers by whilst secretly loving the attention of strangers, complete with toddler level insults hurled at Bismark and Bryan! For someone who's "tired of the other crap about refs" you certainly love to keep the conversation going. And guess what, the only one who can "take away a win" from you is you, only the mentally weak and emotionally stunted individual let's someone else sully their victory. But why do I bother, you've forgotten all this already...

"They tried to take out our best players...."

Are you for real? I've heard about NZ men being notorious mamas boys (a former Kiwi colleague of mine's mother packed his suitcase for him until his mid 20's!!!!!!) but you take the cake with that comment.

Regarding carter, class player but maybe his time is up? too many niggles and a shoulder especially. Dont think it would have taken much to wreck his "already weak" shoulder.

Judging by HM and our captain afterwards, is that it is taken on the chin as a learning  curve.
So the only outcome to this game in my eyes, is that the AB's made things harder on themselves coming to our patch... ELLIS PARK IS GONNA BE ROARING!

nj Boks players going after ABs key players is nothing new - remember Victor Matfield head high cheap and late shot on Carter! Remember Greyling's head high cheap shot on McCaw! You must have very short memories! Remember how Fitzy lost his good ear?

When the Boks beat the ABs 3-0 in 2009 - I was the first one to congradulate them because they were playing hard clean rugby! NOT the cheap and dirty rubbish we were seeing in yesterday's Test - SHAME, SHAME, SHAME!

I ask you this question, why didn't you play the ABs in the same spirit you played the Wallabies a week previously! I'm sorry but I think you are confusing HARD rugby with CHEAP AND DIRTY rugby!

Complain as much as you want about the ref BUT the facts are: Carter out for an indefinite period with a dislocated AC joint when he was taken out from an outside position by Bismarck! Dag out when he was kicked in the leg by Habanna who made a bee-line for Dag without looking at the high ball and then pretended to look up at a bird flying in the sky?

dont get me wrong, the referee was shit, but the only thing worse then the referee yesterday was the mindless boring waste of time kicking that the Boks continued to do.
all the talk about their expansive game after the wallabies test was exactly that, all talk.

ita easy to go after such an obvious target like poite especially as most saffas who the refee for everything worng in the world, but if u think that the Boks werent just as guilty for kicking the ball away so many times, then ive got a big meh for u.

warhammers spot on about if the shoe was on the other foot too.

ive got zero fears heading into ellis park too, IMO the Boks know they were  just as bad as the referee and thats going to hurt them mentally.

I dont see too many taking the "mick" out of your loss ,what I see is kiwis pissed off at some [some not all] whiny bok supporters pointing the finger at our boys as if they had something to do with the ref .

And to cap it off alot of you bok supporters had written off your own team and coach a few weeks ago ,some even hoped for a loss because you thought your team and coach was shite [oops another bad word ,not as bad as that C word that gets thrown around on here ,anything to say about bok fans using that word natanga ?].

And now you think your boys were automatically going to win ? at Eden Park ? after 76 years ? If your pissed off take it up with bismark for not being smart enough to keep under the bloody refs radar !

@ hakwa and wardad, did you read what Cater said after the incident? The tackle by Bizzy was legitimate, h fell awkwardly and sustained that shoulder injury as a result. THE BALL WAS PASSED TO DAN CARTER AND BIZZY TACKLED HIM BECAUSE HE HAD THE BALL. I doubt there was any preconceived idea to injure him at all. This is rugby guys. I honestly feel for Dan for being in an unfortunate situation. However, Nonu's shoulder charge on JEAN was deliberate, and that's the fact, and your commentators said so too.

Both Hakwa and I have said Nonu was a dickhead for doing that and deserved a card ,bismark knew what would happen if he got pinged again and chose to do something illegal and stupid .Its all very well tom pontificate from your lounge room with replays and aerial views galore but at ground level its a different beast .

Bismark stuffed his own team by being a halfwit knowing full well what would happen.I dont care if he gets carded its not my problem ,same happens when one of ours is carded you wouldnt give a stuff .As I said before bismarks grubby reputation precedes him ,anyone who gouges a helpless players eyes should be banned for life ,its disgusting and inexcusable. So karma bit his ass.

You should take cues from HM and JDV [ who were maligned by quite a few bok "supporters"] and suck it up and move on as they have done [ no excuses from them ,much to my admiration].

A legitimate tackle hitting Carter's left side ... Carter injures his right shoulder.

Nothing to do with Bismarck.

Just a soft kiwi unable to take the rough stuff.

Poor dear ... me thinks he should take up a different sport.  This one's obviously too rough for the wimp.

Ceradyne and Ntanga, this is not the first time that a Boks forward has gone out of his way to maim Carter! and I don't mean doing something legal to put him off his game but deliberately going out to maim him! Think of Victor Matfield's head high shot on Carter! Think of Greylings elbowing of McCaw's face! Think of Hollywood Habannah deliberately running into Dag whose eyes all the time were on the ball and seriously injuring him! Think of Bismark's punching Messam in the throat with his elbow! Think of De Villier's concussing  Savea with his knee! I wish these were rare occurances but they are occuring too regularly to not be deliberate!

These cheap shots are becoming regular and they are a real concern! If you boys don't see it but keep blaming the refs, you have a real problem!

The Wallabies are no better - shall we start with Quade Cooper's and Higginbottom kneeing McCaw's  head when he was on the ground?

Carter statement says more about who Carter is and what he represents than anything about Bismarck! Only the very desperate would be grasping at straws to justify the character of Bismark!

No doubt they will want blood for this. This only helps the AB they enjoy the challenge. Makes them peak at there top level. Springboks will be fired up. Have to see if they can keep the same pressure up for the next few weeks. Try and keep the looney tunes off the field tho.

No silly busness. No looney toons on the pitch ... well maybe Nonu can run on ... but that's as far as looneys go.

The test match of the year ... hard fought ... fair ... physical ... with a crazed South African crowd going ballistic, baying for blood ... lifting our boys a notch or three.

May the best team win.
