My impressions
You are so stupid I'd have your mouth connected to the sewage system! You talk so much shit that your are officious a hazard to life. Not only are you a hazard to life but you are a seriously defective distortion of reality!
YAWN = A big mouth with no comeback!
Kriel was solid? Hahaha….Ikitau made him look like he was so solid his feet were in cement!
Have to agree on Kriel, ball just didn't go his way. Am is a far more creative 13, but we only. leaked on try and that was when Kriel went off and De Allende shifted to 13. We definitely missed an experience 13 and I don't know why they insist on shifting dud to 13.
Scrums were stable but not that many scrum penalties. Perhaps Ox and Trev are short enough to make the big boys struggle to bind and get a decent low hit, but they are not durable like Kitshoff and Malherbe, yes, malherbe
Still worried about the backline but Willemse proved that he is better than Pollard at 10. The only thing Pollard can do this days is kick. Willemse kicks didn't go to plan but we at least got our backline moving.
Good call on Hendrikse at 9, he tried to snipe but got it completely wrong, but his passing and ruck management has been top drawer. His box kick for Moodie try was brilliant. He go so much height and hang time which allowed Moody plenty of time to catch the ball, not to mention it was the perfect distance.
The only blemish for Willemse is his kicking at post and some of his tactical kicks.
But not sure who will be the next Utility player as Frans Steyn is not the answer and he should have played his last game this weekend. Vermeulen as well.
Time for the likes of Roos and Libbok if not Hendrikse brother at 10. Sasha Mgomezulu looks like the next Willemse. 20 Years old, 185 cm, 89kg? Can cover centre and full back but also a flyhallf did great for the baby boks. Probably to soon for him to be in next years World Cup and don't have enough first class games.
Saffex,
I thought that the Boks played well considering they were playing away from home and having to get over the losing in Aussie problem.
Their attitude this week was far more switched on and that is always a good starting point.
I actually enjoyed the game and in fact always enjoy the Boks v Wallabies because I can actually sit back and actually enjoy the rugby without that emotional attachment with one of the teams.
As a sideline, I absolutely understand why South Africans rate Etzebeth, I really did enjoy watching him on saturday.
Yes he is the enemy (On the field only of course), but what a player.
He is a character that our game needs.
Ebenezer is a douche with anger problems... hence his legal issues. Can't be the big man when it counts... saw the little boy spinning away from contact like a ballerina. Must be tired by being hammered all season... none of the Blockies like the rough stuff.
I totally disagree.
Etzebeth is a clean player and as well stated only uses measured aggro when required as all great players do.
This AB Supporter rates Etzebeth highly as one of the great Bok locks.
I suspect the AB players would agree too.
Well said B&R. Etzebeth tends to be taken for granted in RSA, with the view that Bakkies was better. Personally I’d take Eben any day….a much better lineout forward, with greater open field capability.
Hell he took at least 2 lineouts against the throw on Saturday.
And he is not the thug that he is painted by some people.
Just a high class and highly skilled second row forward that South Africa should be proud of.
