15. Green 14. Combrink 13. Similane 12. de Allende 11. Skosan 10. Jantjies 9. Jantjies 1. Kitshoff 2. Marx 3. Sadie 4. Etzebeth 5. JD 6. Kolisi 7. PSDT 8. Kwagga Close call at 15 as Andries Coetzee was good when he came on. None of the wings really impressed as they got little ball. Mapoe was good when he came on as was Willemse for the Stormers. Malherbe was good as was Dylan Smith.

ouDawie, in your defence I'll presume that you watched the games either stoned or pissed ........  at least half of your selections (mainly the backline) were either ornery or shite.

Dave with respect there are strong reasons to differ from you - for one issue is for instance is  Jantjies  who nearly cost his team  serious problems by poor play,   For instance he gave away a try by a poor pass and a screwed kick nearly caused another try immediately after which he was benched,

So lets try again:-

15. Green  Coetzee. Combrinck 13. Similane  Du Plessis,  12. De Allende 11. Skosan 10. Jantjies Du  Plessis,1 Kitshoff 2. Marx 3. Sadie 4  Etzebeth,  5 Schickerling,   Kolisi 7. PSDT 8. Kwagga

Damian was absolutely dominated the Jags. He can't possibly be the best Saffer on the day. I'll watch the Lions game later today and see how they fared. The Stormers centres were useless, so the Lions would have to produce an absolute stinker for Damian to get the nod at 12.

Lügnerin thinks Jantjies was poor, that is generally a good indicator that he was mostly productive.

Steph was mostly quiet. Didn't stand out much. Some errors.

Will we ever see Damian score a try like Scotland's 12 Sam Johnson scored last night? Clean break, bamboozling two defenders with an inside outside before crashing over while fending off three more? 66m in 6 runs with 10 defenders beaten.

The answer, of course, is no. But we do love our 12's that can bash into the closest guy, don't we? The mark of excellence.

I really like Moroni and Ezcurra. I think Los Pumas have the best centre pair in world rugby. Add in Sanchez and we have the best midfield in world rugby. The Boks don't have anything like that. I'd say the Boks have never had a combination like that, ever.

So the idiots keep up - their moronic repeats one can only expect that from Silly Billy and the Pakie supporting act.

Coetzee didn't even play at 15.

He came on for Combrink who was poor.

Pakie I made the same point about Johnson on another thread.....that's what we want from our inside centre.

Really Jantjies? What game did you watch. The reason why the lions went down by 2 tries in the first half. Next Marvin orrie will make the team.

Johnson at 12 for Scotland is as average as they come. His try was nothing special, the only thing special about it was how pathetic the English tackling was. Aug you fucking idiot - how exactly did the Argie centres dominate de Allende. Listen here you stupid prick, your childish bias will have every centre on the planet dominate de Allende - grow up. Mike stop speaking utter horse shit - a player is not defined by a pass that gets intercepted. There were only two flyhalves playing - du Plessis and Jantjies and Jantjies was better

Dave

I have seen enough of Jantjies to know that his passing game is sub-standard.   The intercept was by far not the first time he gave away crucial scores through intercepts in Super Rugby.   Jantjies's problem is that he ran partly towards the opposition - but more towards the inside center before he  passes the balls.   That brings the opposing teams backline players to be in a position to intercept balls.   For the rest he makes pop passes not really doing anything bar putting recipients under pressure.

That pass intercepted by the Rebels center did not go to any Lions player and set up to be intercepted.   .
