Naas says
I will defiitely not eb around for that one - but support the idea of Naas
.
Don't think poor Rassie will make it either, the change in the man's appearance just between 2019 and now is not good. That kind of stress on top of an autoimmune disease is probably not a double battle you want to fight for too long.
The year of the hype….so far we were tied by Ireland and barely beat a much below par AB team at home. Next year will be the year of reality.
Eggyolk I’m just keeping it real so the disappointment won’t be too severe as the whole thing implodes with our geriatric team. These are just carnival barkers trying to curry favor with the Bok camp.
For example Roos has been tried and was over powered by the Goose wing….the old guys are tested in battle and the team is an entity. You have always produced these long lists….maybe this list is better, time will tell. But there is a massive transition that awaits…if every player age 33 doesn’t make the WC, we lose:
Malherbe, Bongi, Mostert, Eben, Dud Toit, Kolisi, Faf, Pollard, Dud Allende, Kriel, Kolbe, Am, Willie, Kwagga, Marx and Koch.
And Ox, Snyman, Williams, Arendse and Wiese will all be 31 or 32.
Compare that to your list of wannabes. Every one of these players will either be gone or not as good as they are today. The turnover is unprecedented…buckle up Yolk.
Dud Allende would be a good start.
So the whatever wing overpowered Mostert…..you started this theme. Overpowered, dropped the ball, was stripped…..whatever….the Goose team scored because Roos couldn’t protect the ball. Case closed.
If lack of ball protection is an issue - Mostert should have been dropped 5 0 tests ago.

Jul 22, 2024, 19:07Took another look….totally stripped by the tiny little Portuguese wing. He does a pick and go….bouncing right up into the face of the Portuguese 8 who can’t make the high tackle, but gets him low around the legs.
He stumbles forward into the wee, tiny, little wing. Roos fends him with an elbow to the neck. The wing stands his ground and Roos falls to the right. But the Goose is making contact directly below the ball and is resisting Roos’ move forwards, clearly obvious by how he plants his left leg
In the next freeze frame the ball is already out of Roos’ possession…ripped and going backwards towards the Boks line. Dropping the ball it doesn’t go in that direction. Force applied consistent with the Goose’s body position makes that happen.
Ripped by a tiny, little Goose….the verdict.
Case closed, and after that game he was dropped. He now finds himself in the circle of your other world beaters, the Deysel twins. You sure know how to pick ‘em Dave.
Ag man give us another list please….hahaha.
Hanekom looks a far better prospect than Roos.
Agree but I wouldn't write Roos off just yet. I'd like to see him in the #6 jersey at some stage. Hanekom looks like a future Bok great!
Dave, I wouldn' t let Moffie's negative and biased garbage get to you. He's still trying to pretend that he hasn't got egg all over his stupid face after slagging off Rassie for so long.
LMAO!
What I like about Rassie is that he has expanded SA's coaching base. We were stuck in provincialism for a long time and often our coaches were just plucked out of a province and then told to coach. There weren't any clear structures and only the best coaches could put something decent together. P Divvy struggled when he realised he had to build things from the ground up. So did Coetzee. Markgraaff and De Straueli were completely out of there depths.
I do think there is a provincial elements still with the boks and most of Rassie boks were formers stormers or WP players. Coaches tend to do that, stick with players they know.
I like the fact that Duane has been roped into coaching. I would like to see more of that. NZ did extremely well with Henry, etc, they just picked their coaches from within every 4 years and helped with consistency and game plan. I think Hansen was there last decent coach. But we know saw that even with the best Super Rugby coach, Razor is finding life really hard.
Aus and the rest of the world has captured all of their key south see islanders that NZ depended on so heavily. These guys might not make the test team that often, but they built the base for their teams which made them really competitive. Now there is a South Sea islander in almost every major team. Australia with the most, Ireland has got one, Scotland, Wales, England had 2 or 3 and even France had about 4 in their match day team. Not to mention the amount playing in France.
NZ rugby is decline and we saw what is happening in Australia. All the players are going to league because they get paid more. Rugby Union don't even show on the map for TV viewings in Australia anymore.
That said, I like what Rassie has done, I hope he continues getting the support. Even he doesn't coach after the next World Cup, I would still like to see him at the helm
Razor doesn’t have the players….Rasmus does. Give Razor Eben and NZ wins both tests.

Jun 15, 2024, 15:51Hanekom a deserved MOM…..83 metres, 6 tackles beaten…..15 tackles/o missed. Several turnovers……brilliant
Stick with moz for the early scoop….funny seeing (sic)finally realizing Hanekom is a special player.
Eggyolk stop thinking like a Noob. Giving Eben to NZ is not one player, it’s two players. We are weakened and they are strengthened massively. Given how close the games are Eben in black changes everything. It’s not the coach it’s the players. Give Razor the Boks and he wins by 20 points.
Mozart
De Allende is regarded by experts as the best 12 in the world this year and you want him replaced. Either rugby experts are idiots or you are one hell of a stupid one. Who would you replace him with anyway?
What was Razor record anywya - he lost mmany more mtche than he won. How did the Springbks get where tey are hen tey hav a poor coach you claim Erasmus is. What you make of yourself seems to be total loss of undestanding of Rugby anyway.
The main remarks made by New Zealand exprts regard Razor as a coach trying to rebuild the AB team - - but heya re he ones who call the SA resources as scary. And by the if my Auntoie had balls she would have been my uncle - that is equivalnt to your debate level at present.
You keep making my point and thinking you are making an opposing point….but nobody ever said you are clever, Clever.
