Naka needs to wake up

I will grant him he is sorely missing Coenie and Juan from his pack. But given a very average loosehead, two very average lighweight locks and a very small loose trio his pack simply cant compete with the big boys. He needs to beef up his loose trio match as the astute Rassie did with the then struggling WP tight five. Naka should learn from the master.

The starry eyed brussouw supporters might have noticed, (I say might because they are so starry eyed) how  ineffective Brussouw was in a loosing pack.The only remaining question is how good will he be playing behind  a dominant tight five?

Another blow was struck to the equally starry eyed Spiesies supporters. In a match where his forwards were well in control one would have expected spiesies to cause havoc. Not so a very mediocre performance  and one which should put his place in the bulle pack in jeopardy. Not that it will as they have made the oak captain!!!!!! doubtless windpomp will role out the stats proving otherwise!!

So here we have two favourites of the starry eyed brigade being mooted as the best in their positions in SA.

Another starry eyed band is forming around the mediocre chilli boy who was comprehensively out played by Strauss. A vast chasm existed between these two players on Saturday but twith the stars shining brightly in their eyes they never even noticed.

Beeno - injecting some much needed realism.

There are more starry-eyed groupies around Jantjies than what there are are around the Chill. I'll give Chill this year to put his hand up, if he doesn't I won't have a problem dissing him.

I don't like to write off players but as a Bok proposition wee chilli boy looks on merit not to have much chance barring massive injuries.

I had my doubts about Naka, but he is actually doing a fine job. I have watched this game twice now. Each time I watch it I realise that the Cheetahs were not a bad side on the day; rather the Bulls were utterly ruthless. Chiliboy had a fine game. Yet again underlining his place as best hooker in the country. His massive steal at a lineout also highlighted his underrated freakish strength. Holding another frontrower up, turning him around and ripping the ball out of his clutches! A very accurate and very disciplined showing. He also showed how much better he is as a carrier than Bismarck in particular. His body position is low and he drives his way for good gains allowing for a very quick and efficient recycle. We all know that he is a stronger scrummager than Bismarck anyway, which is unfortunately not being made use of as Greyling is a real liability in this area of play. So in conclusion, not only is Chiliboy very strong, looking very fit, he is also technically much better than Bismarck. Bismarck offers raw strength, but was obviously one of those kids that breezes through the junoir ranks never having to refine his game, but getting easily nullified at senior level. I honestly don't know what your issue with Chiliboy is Beeno, as he has been very consistant from the start on 2011 right up until today.

Card chilli boy was annonymous for almost the entire game. Strauss was everyhwere. Vastly better. He really got stuck in. Man of the match in my book.

Chilli boy is slow and lacks clout. No athlete at all. Very average. Bismark will have him for breakfast.

Thought Bismark had  a pretty good game against us - a force to be reckoned with. Jannie was shown to be what he is an average international prop. 

Bismarck have him for breakfast? Well, he hasn't done that in their last three meetings! Bismarck has never had a strong Super rugby campaign in his life! Bissie was nowhere against the Stormers, let his side down for a second successive week. But that's to be expected.

 I sometimes wonder with the comments you lot come up with on here whether you actually watch the same games I do. The takes on Chiliboy, Jantjies and Brussouw are poor and smack of ignorance

Please Dave you are surely not suggesting Brussouw was effective against the Bulle?

I think Jantjes has played very well and should only get better so I am positive about him.

As for Bissie I think Card has a blind spot here but reality hopefully will dawn on you both.

Brossouw is very effective affecting the ball on the deck all on his own. With regards Bismarck, I noted how easily he was drive back as a carrier and pushed aside at multiple rucks. He was anonymous for large periods of the Stormers game though. Not a complete liability as a result of his absence, but one hardly expects the best hooker in the world to require a deck chair to enjoy the game while his side need some grunt.
