Lets consider a few things by looking at the immediate supprt enjoyed by the props. Kitshoff had Elstadt (interesting ploy this), Steenkamp and Fourie. Normally he would have Schalk, Etzebeth and Liebenberg - much stronger.

Malherbe had Fourie, Bekker and Kolisi. He could have Liebenberg, Bekker and Elstadt.

Conclusion - provided the absent players return to fitness the scrum will be fine. This 940 kg Beeno power pack (Vermuelen at 8) should start and knock the stuffing out of the opposition. Tweak it to have Fourie at 6 and Schalk at 7 if you want a faster loose trio.

Last point is Harris. This guy looks to me to be a better player than Cilliers. Time he got some game time. He can also cover both sides

All the Stormers need is Etzebeth at 4 and sadly Liebenberg at 2 in order for the scrum to be in order. de Kock Steenkamp and Fourie have no grunt in the scrums.

The loosetrio as it stands has to stay as they are the best the Stormers have. Forget Fourie at 6 and Schalk at 7

Snapster you underate Tiaan. He is a powerful scrummager, good lineout thow ins, is mobile and physical.

I can't see what you find in the very average Kolisi. Fourie was Absa Currie Cup player of the year and that at 6 - he was outstanding. He is faster than Kolisi, stronger, more committed and skilful. In a different class right now.

It may sound crazy but this guy could make a very good 12. He has a rugby brain on his head.

Absolutely NO WAYS should Kolisi play 6 before Deon.

As to Schalk we all realsie he will have to prove himslef and hopefully will
