Kiwis are as apprehensive about new coach Hansen as i'm guessing SA is about Meyer. Anything could happen this year epecially if he picks players on last years performance instead of players currently demonstrating form in the Super 15 comp. Hard to know what the coaches are thinking but you either deliver the goods as a coach or you should'nt survive to see another season.
New Bok coach - New AB coach
We can only be better off, whereas New Zeeland might be a bit in the dark untill Hansen proofs his mettle.
We should be far happier about Meyer but for some weird utterances about matfield etc and his blue obsessions.
Agreed Draad. It is difficult to believe we will not be better off with Meyer at the helm and with Rassie also being involved.
most Kiwis are not worried about Hansen - they are more concerned about the assistant coach Forster and his lack of success at the Super Rugby Level and his lack of experience at an international level. Hansen has 2 and a half years to prove himself as head coach and he will live or die by the results of the Test Matches the ABs will play. Alot of people are concerned that Forster is there more because he is a friend of Hansen than because of his tactical know how (as per the Chiefs results for the last 4years). Having said that, being a successful coach at the Super Rugby Level does not necessarily translate into success at an International Level as per Robbie Deans.
