New Zealand Fans whimpering at the Lions roar?

Winning for the Lions is starting to become a habit in New Zealand. Both the mid-week teams and the Saturday games have become more comfortable each week as Lion's combinations develop. 
Are these Lions better than we expected? Or has the New Zealand forward depth been exposed? 
New Zealand will always be able to assemble a good forward pack for the test side, but the conveyor belt seems to have less depth than the unlimited backs. 

 The Saders match was sort of a yardstick, but the MABs and Chiefs weren't strong teams. Selections to keep interest in the tour? We'll see this weekend.

all I've heard were tiny meows,.... they are playing crap rugby,.... and they should have won all their games till the moment,.... they are the best players from the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 7th best national teams in the world,...... instead they are struggling

the mid-week team (clear 2nd team) lost against Blues and landers and could only win to a depleted chiefs, missing 10 starters, the 6 AB btwin them,....

their weekend team (and the one who more or less is going to play against the AB) showed nothing special,.... yeah, they won,.... but they won so ugly,....
all they have shown is Kick&chase game and a good and fast defense (favored by their constant offside allowed by the refs untill now but this could change on saturday),... and that's all,.... against the saders they were unable to break the defense and to get any try,... even against a very young (5 of the 7 backline players were younger than 22) and inexperienced backline,... against the MAB they only could get tries when playing against 14

the saders' tight5 destroyed the lions' scrum the few times the ref allowed them to scrum,.... considering the AB pack is superior I cannot see how the lions could impose  themselves,...... with only a good defense and constant kick&chases I cannot see them beating the AB,.... but everything is possible

The Lions have totally disassembled the NZ running game with an organized rush defence. If they were meowing out there those Chiefs were mice scuttling for their holes. The big question is whether NZ can do things ata higher intensity level.

Moz, I have no doubt the AB's will have a much higher intensity level. For every tactic there is a counter tactic. If a team employs rush defense, a smart kicking game will counter it. NZ rugby does not have it in their DNA to give games away. Hansen is a smart bugger with huge talent at his disposal. There is no such thing as an easy win against the AB's. 
I am glad the Lions are getting it together though, makes for a nice build up to the first test. The test can go either way obviously, but I reckon the AB's will still win. 

The All Blacks can always assemble a good pack- even if they have much less depth at test level. 
Lots of Super Rugby forwards- but not really test forwards.They have lots of skills and mobility- but a bit short on the tight forward exchanges.
Although I think when SA becomes 4 teams again, we will see stronger packs from SA in Super Rugby. A chance to bully the Kiwi Super Rugby sides. If our backs continue to improve, (aka the Lions), we are going to be more competitive next year.  
The Hurricanes forwards used to be mince meat- as with Auckland

 If the Lions can shut down the NZ backs its game on. One has to acknowledge that the Lions did not face a full Chiefs side. Anyhow lets hope it is a great series. I would not want my kbbs friends to be miserable!

We are going to wipe the floor with the Lions BUT if we lose, we will take it out on you in the Rugby Championship 

H, I agree, I reckon the AB's are gonna win.....but they'll probably still take it out on us in the Rugby Champs.  

Well nobody wants to see the Gat after a Lions win, so I'm for the ABs.

 I would like to see tight matches with NZ put under pressure...ee haven't seen much of that in years, except for the Irish tests, but Pommerania will get absolutely too windgat if they manage a series win. I hope the Lions can win the last match by the skin of their teeth. I hope for 2-1, but the Blacks would probably win 3-zip.
