Next Springbok Coach Jamie Joseph?

So we all know that Rassie will be looking to step of the coaching box and take on a more in direct role with the boks. My big question is who will be the boks head coach? 

I think it is time that SA rugby employ a foreign coach as I don't think we have that kind calibre in our country. 

You could argue that Johan Ackerman is a good candidate, but Gloucester is not doing so well at the moment. 

Then we have Jake White, but he comes with his own set of problems. 

Other than that it is fairly slim pickings

So why not bring a foreigner in and someone like Jamie Joseph. He has a fantastic record working with a player pool that is very limited and his style will suite SA rugby players. 

If you look what he did at the Highlanders and how he turned them around from no hopers into champions 

Then, Japan has been phenomenal in the World Cup and against the "number 1" team in the world, Ireland. 

Who would you guys recommend?

I do not think Erasmus will be totally out of the coaching issue since the fact is that he remains the manager of the coaching set-up - the Chief Coach falls under him structurally,  

I have a suspicion the new Head Coach may be that guy Jones from Munster  Erasmus invited to be part of the coaching structure in the WC.   Did he ask him to join temporarily and if so why?   I think that he and Jones have much in common - they have the same studious approach insofar as the game is concerned and the fact is his present presence may not be an accident at all.   

It will introduce him to the players and the broader approach of the situation at present,  Jones is out of his contract with  Munster and may not renew it after the WC.   It is only a guess - but I think that he may be the one to watch out for as future Chief Coach.   

I agree though - there are indeed the NZ options in both Joseph and Plumtree,   The latter does have experience in SA conditions and may also be an option.     

A wild outsider may be Eddie Jones - that is if the English gets beaten in the play-offs and he get shafted and becomes one of the options.  He loves SA as a country and often visits SA  and especially Cape Town.     

He's an excellent coach but how would the likes of Beeno react to having a kiwi coach, lol

When it comes to national rugby coaches from such a strong rugby heritage as SA why would you get a kiwi...?

I get the minnow countrys and to some degree the NH countries but not SA...nor Australia (ever again...) for that matter...

Reason is simple - Deep down they are always going to back their own team and simply become agents for the human lizard hybrid shape shifting types running world rugby........ 

for those wanting a crusaders coach... remember the robbie deans experiment....... never worked as cultural differences are too vast

there is a sth vs nth island divide a little in nz but the crusaders have runs on the board... 

gatlin obviously eyeing top job in nz too with move to chiefs...

 given current squad, admin, govt backing etc - even majority of posters on this forum coud have success with kiwi rugby team...

oh yes... i put it down to simply the cultural divide between the two close neighbours... aussies have self deprecating humour and kiwis are overtly sensitive... is one major difference...

additionally Deans had nepotism issues with son in law and frankly (the biggest issue by far) - the lack of depth in australian rugby...

interestingly Deans was playing JOC at fly half... which is probably the answer to aussies biggest conundrum this RWC...

Plumtree took the Sharks to the Super Rugby FINAL  in 2012 - the best White could do was to take the same team to the  Super Rugby SEMI-FINAL in 2014.   So you are talking tripe about Plumtree to be qui te frank.
