Yup, I was wrong about him, he was really good. Made the right calls and was consistent.
What a game, still can't calm down. So many things were great. Boks answered a lot of questions - yes they can play the 15 man game being one of them.

Part of the success of a good game of rugby is clear, concise and fair refereeing. No niggle, why, because the ref was in charge without being the center of attraction. Well done Nigel!

All the credit to him, no doubt.

Great handling of that "typo" that saw Coles take the field instead of Mealamu. It did not need to be a focal point. In fact. I think the Boks would rather have faced Coles than Mealamu anyway. I hope we don't hear anything more about that because it was clearly a mistake and it must not take a thing away from this 9 try thriller!

Nigel had a great game and for once the ref didnt shaft us. I could hardly believe it. Meesam was actually sent off for his professional foul in the red zone. One can only hope other refs follow his example. The subbing of Bissie was daft and a breakdown in communication no doubt. A few stupid things and injuries to Habana and Alberts cost us the game.
But one can only feel upbeat about next year when the youngsters start coming through to supl ement what we have. Mallet and Skinstadt were of similar opinion.

Beeno: this a shocking but welcome statement coming from you, lol
I think we are all relieved and happy that the ref did a good job. Rugby didn't need two cock ups in a row.
Now Beeno, don't let us down, we will be disappointed if this change of in your demeanor continues for too long, lol

Boks got the rub of the green of the ref in the game, but the All Blacks showed that when ur a champion team u just get on with the job and not rely on fans to start crying and making facebook pages, LMAO, :oD
beast should have been yellow carded for his shoulder on McCaws jaw, i dont believe it was malicious, but was still worthy of a yellow card, as TJ correctly said though, theres no chance in hell that any Bok player would get carded in this game, and TBH im glad beast didnt, cos that would have been the focal point of the entire game.
maybe there is some merit to crying and throwing tantrums and starting facebook pages when thing dont go your way, and maybe we should All Black fans should start behaving a in a similar fashion???
naaaaah, screw that, dont ever want to come across as baby who needs a bottle,
i said before the game that owens was an all right ref, and he did have a very good game, while IMO there were some errors in owens game, the most important thing was he was consistent and his errors didnt impact the game, cos the better and stronger team won.
