For how long will AC still remain as coach of  the stormers until they realise that he and his coaching style and staff is clueless and not dynamic enough ?????

Why was he appointed in the first place after flopping with the Boks?  Why did Mallet leave. Why did Rassie leave. Well because we are rotten at the top.  Neither Mallet nor Rassie could endure the twits running the show.

Corne Krige expresse his displeasure at the way WP was run some weeks ago in the Sunday TImes.  The consequence of this mismangement is that the Stormers have a significantly smaller budget that the bulle. The clubs milk the professional arm and the clubs rule.

Alistair is a decent enough guy but I do not have confidence on his brain power to battle it out with the best coaches. Give me Dr Venter and Nick Mallet anyday ahead of Coetzee and Fleck!

with all due respect beeno the stormers can really be so much more with the depth in players and feeding systems that they have at there disposal that i really boggels the mind that the inept allister coetzee after 4-5 odd years is still in charge. its as platant as day light really. the sharks has even a smaller buget but they are forward thinking and dynamic to see a chance to better themselves. it must be said that until AC remains as coach the stormers will never shake off the choker tag not will they ever achieve anything great. the WP rugby management is more than happy with the lacklustre performances year in and year out and if they are not carefull they will folow the same route as lions did in the midd to late 90's until were they are now. i see a lot of the same things happening at the stormers and they really need to change now or things will never be the same

It is actually a bloody disgrace that they cannot win the one trophy after the other, given what they have available to them. This bullshit of The Stormers/WP being the pinnacle of SA Rugby and the prime union and the best this and the best that is BS. They are a unit, and if they have the crappest coaching set-up, their maganement is in a shambles and they are cash strapped, they are heavily relying on two players to win trophies, etc, etc, like certain people are pointing out, then they cannot be that great.

fair comment ceradyne....as beeno always like to mention "the mighty stormers"...nothing mighty in the way that they play to be frank. that title is self imposed by all the stormers fan boys. walking around with a false sense of entitlement but have not delivered in over 11 odd years. in terms of cash they are one of the top unions in south africa but that can very easly regress if they dont restructure and remove no cups coetzee. the buddy buddy vibe that is active at the WP rugby management needs to be addressed and there needs to be reform or i see a lions type of situation starting to happen at the WP union. where the stadiums start to run empty and they just simply compete from year to year.

the stormers supporters will try to convince you otherwise. they paint a picture of there team being the best. that is denile to the extreme in my view.

they need a wake up call and very very fast in my view. not blinded by race or any other hidden agenda. plonkers like theo wakefield need to be send packing. he was the main instrument in making rassie and mallet leave.

a coach like carel du plessis will do wonders for a team like the stormers. but i doubt that seeing that he is not a kiss ass like no cups coetzee

 He won a cup last year and this year for finishing first in the South African Division of the Superxv. 

He also finished first in the Superxv league this year- although no cup is awared for this. 

However they will not win the Super xv scoring less tries than the other teams. Without a strong attack- the very best teams each year will be able to outscore the Stormers. 

The Stormers usually have a great defence- except in finals mostly. Questions have to be asked about how rubish the attack is- What happened to the WP of old. Or even the Bok Skinstad, Breyton Paulse, Montgomery era where they were sublime in attack...

 I'm not sure when the Stormer became so un-imagitive. I think it was about 3 or 4 years ago when Henry said that the Stormers was the best team in the comp because of the way they played. Rather on building on that they just through away their attack and decided that tackling is the way forward. If you look at the Stormers team then you would notice that all of their experience lies in the backline. For most of the comp the boys have been playing with a fairly green pack. Why not use your strength and play more with your backline.

For me the whole WP rugby is rotten. To much of a blazer buddy brigade and people that shouldn't be there. They are all rotten in my opinion. But as long as Newlands have the highest attending figures in the comp, these guys are not going anywhere.   

Stormers simply can not play finals rugby. They have a single game plan... defend. Every team that makes the finals can defend AND attack that why they are in the finals. The Stormers finals stats prove this.

winning the so called conf cup is not a major cup sorry to say...almost the same as winning a badge for taking part in a race or attending a training course. please only the undying stormers faithfull is trying to over hype this cup. its on par with any other noddy badge award going around these days. the only cup that matters is the CC super 15 overall cup and that is it. that is the best a local domestic coach can aim for. that is the reality and for some they like to plug themselves into the matrix and think that the stormers has some level of sucess for all the years of waiting and building.

to be fair coetzee has been in charge for way longer than the current crop of super coaches. so he might jive the rugby board to give him another chance as he has done for way to long. he should go. really i am sorry. since 2008 he has been in charge and with the biggest crop of players he has gone not forward but rather sideways. so i can understand how any stormer supporter can be happy with how he is coaching and leading the team.
