Xavi Elstadt got through a huge amount of hard graft. Probably the most hard working forward.
I think that both Steyn and Esterhuizen did their utmost not to make the Springbok squad. So where to now. I am inclined towards the Willemse selection - he cannot be as bad as Steyn and Esrerhuizen - even on an off day.
Jamtjies cannot be said he had a good game either, I think De Jager had a good game - slightly better than Snyman.
Now watch out for the ratings of Mozart and AO for a good laugh, .

Not sure what Ou Mike's beef with Esterhuizen is again now, guess he has to bitch about him out of principle. Apart from Nkosi he was our only back who ran hard and direct, and he did fine with what he got.
Pity about Marcell going off early, he looked good for the bit that he was on.
Sure the off-load in the case of the Nkosi try is an example - another is a lineout take on Argentinian throw-in. And De Jager made 14 tackles missing 1 - Snyman made 4 tackles missing 5. My above statement was an understatement - should have said De Jager was twice the lock Snyman was,

Nothing not based on fact. Hi s defense was magnificent - 2 tackles made - only I missed . Most carries was totally running slowly into the opposition forwards will get his team nowhere fast.
He carried balls like a prop today both as seen and as slow. .

Wilco - despite early promise, we have an eater here. He is not an athlete that can run around.
Orie - A joke in bad taste.
Kwagga - 4 tests so far, and he did nothing. He is not a fetcher, and playing him at number 6 is pointless. He could have stolen possession near the end of the match but was not strong enough. And then that kick at the end of the match.... Imagine that non-sense in the world cup. I think Kwagga's ship has sailed.
Scarra - was never really a world cup option.
Reinach - If Kolbe is backup, he is not going to the world cup.
Thomas DuToit - was hopeless. The scrum was a joke, the only question was if Koch was worse.
Schalk Brits - average. He will make it only if more than 2 hookers included.
Koch - Crap. Penalty machine. Was lucky to stop match-winning Argentina try with the block, as he would probably have missed the tackle.
Dejaager - This is not an international standard player. Willing in body, but not mind.
Eldstat - 2 test chances, and he is slow and ponderous in both attempts
Esterhuizen - a Donkey playing at centre. Not an international standard.
Scrum was crap.
Lineouts were better
Slipped tackles were probably the biggest issue.
Positives-
The long pass tactic to get the wings into the game is varying the crash ball option from the inside centre. Everyone is getting their hands on the ball, so wings can get opportunities to run. Nkosi scored that try out of nothing. We have some solid attacking options on the wing- as good or maybe even better than the other teams.
