Nominations for the best face plant in test rugby...

Nothing much beats a good face plant and we saw some great face plants over the season but should SA take out the prize for the best ones ?

 

Looking firstly for the name of the SA forward whose face was firmly planted in the garden of Eden Park ? Some landscape gardeners in your team perhaps? Them being the two SA forwards that assisted by lifting whoever it was high in the lineout only to unceremoniously drop him on his head face first. Was that Vermulen perhaps that kissed NZ there ?

 

 

Second nomination could go to Le Roux who hot on attack was brought down metres from the tryline at Ellis Park. Keiren Reid gets the assist on this one another classic face plant.

 

 Both face plants scoring high in entertainment value and get my nominations for the Audience Appreciation award...

 

coetzee getting face planted by (was it mumm???) that waratahs player in the spXV last year has ensured he we will win for the next three years.

when le roux was hurt in his faceplant, my first thought was he was faking it again, until i saw the replay and that was a serious ouchy, byproduct from crying wolf all the time.

vermeulens head knock in auckland was pretty huge, it wasnt a faceplant, but he got RKOd from a huge distance and the only thing more impressive then that fall was he got straight back up, i was like dafuq??? O_O
vermeulen is one tough hombre.
