Not all transfers to overseas clubs are bad news....

Cape Town - Fullback Jaco Taute is set to leave Western Province to join Rassie Erasmus at Irish club Munster.

According to Rapport, Erasmus - who is Munster’s director of rugby - has signed Taute on a five-month deal, with the possibility of extending his contract.

Taute will go to Munster as an injury replacement for Francis Saili , with Western Province not expected to stand in Taute’s way of leaving.

The 25-year-old Taute became a Springbok in 2012, but his career has been blighted by injury since joining Western Province from the Lions in 2013.

He’s had had more than four serious injuries since joining the Cape side, which has seen him represent them in only 23 Super Rugby games.

 I have to disagree....you need leaders who are willing to see things to completion. To accept responsibility for performance rather than just talk about it. Erasmus is a film flam man.

 Taute impressed us all when he played for the Lions but has never really managed to maintain that standard at the Stormers.
Injuries have dampened his career as well.
A good player but no more than many others.
