Since Awards for top performances in rugby are being dished out right. left and centre - the uchiha clan Institute for Profound Rugby Knowledge has decided to a page from the clevermike Institute for Profound Rugby Knowledge and make its own awards dealing with various awards kiwi gangnam style...

NZ worst u20 player,,,
ofa tu'ungafasi (prop with the long dreads),
physically a strong big boy typical of his pacific island roots, but his temper let his team down big time in both of NZ u20 losses to the welsh and the SA (which BTW are NZ u20 only losses in its entire history). he needs to get that attitude checked, cos i saw plenty of it in the ITM as well and hopefully kirwan gets it sorted.

All Blacks worst back,,,
piri weepu
damn this is a hard one, cos when taken into account all of the All Blacks tests as a whole, then no one really played more bad games then good. but i would have to say that
weepu would be the only one whose performances might be in the negatives as a whole.

All Blacks worst forward,,,
ali williams
our forwards preformed wonderfully in 2012, with the obvious exclusion of the england beatdown and like the backs all of them played more good games then they did bad. ali williams would have to take top gong though, his time with the All Blacks is well and trully on the horizon, especially with the the locking trio of romano/retallick/whitelock easily the top 3 NZ locks now.
crocketts work around the feild is the only thing keeping him of the list, but his scrummaging has been very poor especially considering he was one of NZs best all round props in 2011.

All Blacks worst test,,,
england test at twicenham,
no two ways about it at all, this was the All Blacks worst performance of the year, systematically outplayed from 1-15 and again full credit to england.
many a thing has been said about this performance as some kind of catalyst of the All Blacks impending doom, but i say in between my loud long yawns, dont count ur chicks before theyre hatched. the All Blacks are still the benchmark team and i see the loss in a different light.
the All Blacks last loss before the england test was against the wallabies in the TriNats, the All Blacks then went on an unbeaten 20 game streak where they won the RWC, the IRC a comp which boasts 3 of the top rugby teams in the world, what makes the tournament win from the All blacks sweeter is that it was done so without conceding a single championship point. the 20 run unbeaten streak also boasted a test with the irish and wallabies where both were kept scorless on the board, a very difficult thing to achieve once let alone twice ina a calender year.
so iask u, if thats what they acheived when they last lost a test, what will the achieve this time around???? o_O

NZ spXV worst team,,,
blues.
the wooden spooners lost every single match against the other NZ teams, but still managed a 50% strike rate against SA and OZ teams which included the likes of the bulls and brumbies both who finished 2nd in their respective conferences.
they suffered a tremndous injury run similar to the lions, but some weird coaching and player positioning is what many including myself the crux of their horrible season.

NZ rugbys worst coach,,,
rob penny NZ u20 coach,
end of the day NZ u20 lost their first ever matches in this grade under rob penny, to wales and the final to SA, which is completly unacceptable by NZ standards. SA were easily the better team, but NZRU also played a role limiting the u20 team to selecting players not involved in the spXV or the previous ITM, which according to tony johnson could have boasted the sqaud up to 21 players, including 9 in the spXV. still there was enough talent there to get the job done but ultimatley SA in front of their passionate mad supporters were too strong at the end of the day.
pat lam would have come pretty close, but everyone in NZ are familiar with the blues hot cold approach. lam had  some pretty retarded tactics and player selections though which earned him the ire of many blues supporters and only the worst record ever in NZ u20 history stopped him from getting the worst caoch award.

Sasue

Thanks - at least there are someobjective people around in New Zealand that can see something wrong in some cases - as I said previously that is the best way to deal with deficiencies.   Now for some comments.

Weepu - come now, you are a bit harsh here - whoo on earth is going to lead the haka if he is not around?   He must have a purpose for being in the team and that is the only one I could identify.

Ali Williams - the new captain of the Blues?   What have you got against the Blues?   They were my ideal New Zealand Super 15 team in 2012 - I wished more New Zealand teams followed their excellent example.   LOL

Sasue, I would have to disagree with you on the NZL worst test of the year. I would say two that stand out as bad are the 3rd Bledisloe cup test and the Boks in Dunedin. Against England the AB's were just out thought, out muscled and outplayed but it was the last game of a long year and away from home. In Dunedin, the AB's gave away penalty after penalty. They came away with the win but not by their own doing. Dunedin is supposed to be a fortress for the AB's but they played some unattractive rugby there..

Have to agree Boklogic. Bear in mind though that the season was not so long for ab players due to their central contracting system, No real excuses re  England. The depleted Oz clearly also had the better of the 3rd test.

Dunedin - well the depleted Boks lost the game rather than nz winning it. No rational person should argue against that. Unfortunately there are some irrational oaks who will!

Hence the coming to fruitin of the writing on the wall prediction in the England game. How anybody can think the abs a great side - the mind boggles!
