Australia back James O'Connor is expected to sign a contract with England Premiership side London Irish having been released from his Australian Rugby Union contract this month.

The 23-year-old, capped 44 times by his country, has been involved in several disciplinary issues, including being escorted out of Perth Airport for drunken behaviour last month, and was unwanted by any of Australia's five Super Rugby franchises after being dumped by the Melbourne Rebels.

"He's a world-class player, he's a terrific kid and I'm sure that will all be unveiled at the front end of this week," London Irish coach Brian Smith was reported as saying on Sunday by the Sydney Morning Herald.

"Any team in England or in France would be lucky to have him. I would imagine in the next 24 or 48 hours he will play his cards and all will be revealed."

Australia play England, Italy, Ireland, Scotland and Wales during their November tour of Europe, and O'Connor has set himself the goal of returning to the international stage in time for the 2015 World Cup.

LOL. Yeah. There is a pub at the Reading train station, where the park and ride buses to the Madejski Stadium arrive and depart  from, called the Three Guineas. They are massive supporters of London Irish.

Guinness themselves are also one of the official London  Irish sponsors.

Guinness Official Beer of London Irish

Guinness continue their proud sponsorship of London Irish, having supported the club since 1992. Complementing their strong association with Rugby on both a domestic and international scale. Being our longest standing sponsor to date, they are truly a part of the London Irish family and have been supporters of The Craic on matchdays at the Madejski as well as the ever popular Guinness Village on our annual St Patrick’s Party Match.

its awful ,just awful how he had that hamburger only days before a test match and was late for a photo shoot ,and getting pissed off at an over officious check in clerk at an airport [ no one in the history of the whole universe has ever gotten even slightly annoyed at an air port check-in ]! outrageous unheard of behaviour for a rugger player ! Although if you play other football codes you can root underage girls ,shit in hotel corridors ,take all the drugs you can tolerate [ even boks can indulge there !] kick idiot fans in the head during a game ,be a total racist arsehole and well what ever you want really .And some rugger players can even be forgiven punching team mates on tour buses among other things .Its all good !

Apart from the tongue-in-cheek reference to Boks, I think Wardad was referencing other sports  (in)famous for off-the-field incidents: NRL for underage rooting and hotel incidents, AFL for drugs and racism, soccer (Henry?) for kicking fans in the head.

That was a very general statement, I wasn't limiting what I said to one thread. Now who is the illiterate one.
Beeno AKA StormingED, nope it seems to me the only person who makes Kiwi Jibes is you but then you recieve a internet beating from Cloudy, Wardad, Brycy, Sasue and Just_Win. But then they carry it on to every other Bok related thread.

(A few verses from Milton sprang to mind.)

Jest and youthful Jollity,

Quips and Cranks, and wanton Wiles,

Nods, and Becks, and wreathed Smiles,

Sport that wrinkled Care derides,

And Laughter holding both his sides.

Whilst the landscape round it measures,

Russet lawns, and fallows grey,

Where the nibbling flocks do stray

To many a youth and many a maid

Dancing in the Chequer'd shade;

And young and old com forth to play

On a Sunshine Holyday,

Till the live-long day-light fail,

Then to the Spicy Nut-brown Ale

A few verses from Milton came to mind.
