ODI 3....

Probably the most interesting of the 3 ODI's. Tear up the script of the last 2 games as the teams start afresh wondering what exactly the Kingsmead strip has to offer...will it seam?....are the elements like moisture in the wicket and humidity going play a huge role? Is it best to bat first and ride a lively wicket for the first hour or so? I don't expect to see another cavalier style batting performance from the Proteas and I don't expect there'll be totals of 300+......winning the toss is critical.

 Well, Denny, batting first came off for Aus, but SA is still hanging in there, with an injured Miller stepping to the plate. GO BOYS!

 Sh!tty Auzie side, but WOW SA! WOW. WELL DONE. MILLER AND PHEHLUKWAYO! WELL DONE!
PS, Aus's bowling was suspect this series, but they should have been able to defend 370 in Durbs in a D/N. WOW, this is our biggest victory in years!

 Toldya.....the team has found it's mojo....they're on the march. Ain't nothing going to stop them now!

Still had to absorb scoreboard pressure with wickets down. History will record our second best chase against Ozz, the current world champs....and AB and Morkel wasn't even in the team. Not world beaters yet, but I'm enjoying the win and the series victory.

You do that, I know exactly what I'm celebrating as I find many positives from all three games but it's fine by me if you don't believe the team has found it's mojo.....I know they have. As for the crappiest Ozzie attack well if the following doesn't underscore my beliefs in the team dynamic then nothing will..

Draad, Let's not forget the enormous blow to the team in the 1st ODI when they had to front up without AB and Amla........if that's not being depleted then pray someone tell me what is??? You can probably add Morkel to the list.

You may want to read up on what Australian supporters think about the quality of their side.

When Faf went out I switched over and starting watching something else. When I went to bed I checked the score online expecting a solid loss, and found we'd won! Well done Proteas! 

 Are the Ozzies really that poor??
Losing to a quota side like South Africa must surely be an all time low for them.

How embarrassing!!! And I thought we had issues. 

 The two catches...one by Faf and the other by Miller were brilliant......you probably  missed them. In cricket the bowler gets all the credit but these were more fielding excellence than good balls bowled. Faf airborne to his left, plucked a screamer out of the air. The old catch cry kicks in "Catches win matches." He has my total admiration,not that young but he's really excelled in all departments whether it be fielding, batting or captaining the side. The team is on the march just hope they fix the order of play so that Rilee opens with QDK, Amla at first drop  and that Behardien gets the flick.

 Cricket is hardly a strenuous sport so keeping the old and the tired for years on end is not much of an issue. 
It's a Mozart type of sport. I'm sure he's a big fan.
Still ... a pathetic showing from the Ozzies.
To put that kind of total together shows us how weak the Proteas' attack is. They were clubbed across the park at will
To then allow this quota team to reach the target is a clear indication of how far the Ozzies have fallen from previous years.

Cricket is hardly strenuous says Carbuncle.....well nor is thinking before you speak. Try it if you are capable. * * Den to me this looks like the same cast of characters who have always excelled at home on easy wickets, only to collapse in overseas series.....and that Aussie attack, bowling 125ks and short was also pretty pathetic. Sorry but I'm from Missouri on this one.

 So here we have the normal expert commenting on the Aussie team and obviously giving no credit to the SA team.   That makes our local expert so spectacularly useless.
Remember how he slated De Kock as not worthy of a place in the team becuae he can only bat against weak bowlers and how useless he is.  As for Miller he cannot bat and is a let-down  for the team.
Another  issue - the SA Bowlers struggled on that pitch as well - so what is new about his constant degrading of players he does not like,   What a farce.  

Completely humiliated and closed out in terms of rugby, Pervie follows me into cricket. And I refer him to the One Day WC, the Triangular series a few months ago and the T20 WC played this year. 

 Moz on the contrary I'm uptown NY on this one.....time will tell.The team will have an ideal prep leading into the ICC WC so there'll be no excuses.

 It's a weak Auzie team, but they have a good batting line up. That was a massive score they put up. We started well, but constantly lost wickets.  It is a massive achievement to absorb that scoreboard pressure...and at night to boot. We showed heart under pressure...we won a match in the same kind of situation where we folded in the past. I agree that we ain't no world beaters yet, but it was an enjoyable win with lots of positives.

Well I hope you chaps are right.....I have seen so many Protea flops, just one tournament win would be enough.

 I did not follow you into cricket - I actually watched all the ODI's and that was good enough for me - taking into account our pathetic rugby coac h and his even more pathetic team.
