World Rugby have come up with some new rules regarding kit colour to accommodate people who are colour blind. This means that the Springboks will never play the All Blacks again with both teams wearing their respective colours of dark green and black.

This is not a joke. You can read the story here.

I wonder how many colour blind people will be as annoyed as the rest of us by this latest politically correct attempt at inclusivity and addressing discrimination?

I don't hate it.

Have said in the past that when both teams are in dark or light colors it does make following the game a bit more difficult RE rucks and mauls.

Rugby is a tough game to adjudicate and anything that makes things easier is fine by me.

The Boks have played in white a few times too...and nobody died.

I have severe colourblindnes and there is still a huge difference between the 2 kits...there are other technologies to accommodate colourblindnes,  no need for them to resort to such drastic measures.

One would have thought the Boks white shorts made things pretty clear.

I think this might be over eager reporting...if something doesn't make sense...

I don't think the fools who made the rules even understand colourblindnes in t he slightest...not many people do.

Rugby is governed by Westerners, and they are currently weak, impotent, and mentally enfeebled imbeciles. Ende.

This is heading towards rugby as we know it turning into a game of TOUCH RUGBY.

Unreal.

Let's go at it from a different angle. Assume that in order to utilise artificially intelligent reffing, the kits need to be one dark and one light in shade for video data to be more easily interpreted by the computer. Would we still have an issue with it?
