and freely admit that I was wrong insofar as the outcome of the Brumbees - Stormers game is concerned. I think that the disasters I foresaw did not happen. Jantjies did get run over three times - but in all cases the cover-defence stopped the movement. De Jongh did miss two tackles - but for the rest he did not make any mistakes. He ran with the ball twice - and did make a good pass once to De Villiers, Bekker was awesome and once again proved that he is the best lock in the game at preent. Once Etzebeth gets back the Stormers can be assured of one thing - they have the best lock combination in the world. The Stormers forwards in fact won the game for them and one has to freely admit that Malherbe and Kitshoff are really developing well. Kolisi tried his utmost - but became a penalty machhine for the Brumbies - unfortunately that counts against him. Just one further question - when will Fourie learn to make line-out throws?

ha ha Mike , you're man enough to accept defeat and to wash your mouth out. Its always unlikely that the Brumbies would do the same to the Stormers. Was impressed with the Sharks even though i didnt expect such a high score. Shows if your head is not up for the game you can seriously get a hideing from any team.

Well Mike you have apologized for calling the game wrong....but not for all the insults you handed out in the process. Remember this:

"Normally these two jokers are in real opposition against each other - but in this case they formed a united front - because I am critical of two of their favoured players - Jantjies favoured by Saffex and De Jongh favoured by Mozart.   Really the joke of the year.

These two are going to be the achilles heal of the Stormers tomorrow and they are going to cause a major loss to the Stormers.   Will they ever learn?   No chance of that one ever happening.."

The united front as you call it was simply calling for  a Stormers win....Dave didn't rate de Jongh and I didn't rate Jantjies. But we did both agree that the Stormers had the capacity to win this one. You had them losing by what....more than 10 points....just because you didn't like two players? Dumb!

LOL no surprise here, in the previous weeks you predicted chiefs to win stormers 20+ which was incorrect, you are also wrong on this occasion. Do not underestimate the Stormers again, more wins to come.

Mozart

I am apologizing to you about the Stormers win - but I am not apologizing for the fact that De Jongh remains a very poor player.   The stats are not yet out - but according to Foxsport he got a poor 6 points for performance this week - the lowest of any player on the field of play in the Stormers team.

His so-called strongest point is his defence - yet he missed two tackles.   There was another tackle missed - as stated by the commentator - but I do not agree with him on that one - it was not clear from first viewing that he was involved.   That was the one in which case the Brumbies scored their try.   I am going to have a look again at the game and I will then make sure about that one.   On attack he had two ball carries of significance - but broke no tackles in the process.

Insofar as Jantjies is concerned - he definitely had a better game than he did thus far in the competition - but defence still remais a major headache.   He got run over 3 times by opposition players and I definitely not rate him as an all-round good flyhalf.

Joking aside - I was impressed with Jackson in the games he has reffed thus far.   He allowed the games to flow - and as was said in the comments on TV he was not very "visible"  during the game.   That normally is a very high rating of a referee - he should be there and ensure the game is played according to the rules - not try and run the game and become a determinator of the final outcome of the game.
