A great defence, forward power and good set pieces, and generous use of the boot......all that and a bent ref makes it easy-peasy for the Saders. Forward power trumps (nice word) backline creativity every time. On a lighter note West's lateral boot out behind his own goal line is a strong candidate for botched kick of the year.....although Mo'unga's sand wedge into touch was hardly a thing of beauty. How do we lose to these dopes?

The match was a boring " nothing" to watch - it was mostly a string of mistakes and useless play/   I stopped watching at half-time.

Your not going to get fast free running rugby in that weather.

Should have stayed for the 2nd half to see how a winning team plays a great game plan to suit the conditions.  Mind you a game plan is something SA rugby hasnt had in years.

Nothing to watch for the Rugby noob perhaps, for the student of the game the bottling up of the great Canes backs was compelling stuff.

To be fair As Clinical as the Saders were. Two of their three tries shouldent of been tries. Gardner had a shocker. Tamanivulu was NOT a dangerous tackle. Mehrts the most one eyed Sader. Thought it was just a typical tackle. And Samu landed Awkwardly. The 2nd try to Saders, clear lost forward in ruck. Prob would of bn another if not for Saveas brilliant try saver. Canes did not make it easy for themselvs. Poor in set pieces, and general play. But officiating was suspect at best. Canes just did not adjust to the wet conditions again. Had their oppurtunities, but like i said were not as clinical as the Saders were. And having no territory, was always going to b an uphill battle.

Still Canes beat Landers nxt Friday. Saders drop a win to the Chiefs. Still a chance for Canes to top the conference and standings. Unfortunatly with the lame Conference rules. 2nd place in your conf, wont gt you a home playoff automatically. And Mozert, you ask why you cant beat us. Because were better than you. It took an excellent performance from the Saders to knock them off their perch. I don't see that occuring again till finals at best.
