Lavanini became the first man in Test rugby to be sent off three times after leading with his shoulder into the neck of prop Cian Healy, who wasn’t near the ball at the back of a ruck.

He was also red-carded against South Africa in 2017 and England at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

…….

But he writes so beautifully!

There are players out there who just haven’t grasped the notion that everything they do on the park is documented. Fortunately most of our players are pretty disciplined these days.

That Aussie red card was a classic throw back to a more tolerant era. In the old days that was never a card….today a sure red…and a good thing too.

Lavavini tends to use the shoulder without arms. Clearly in most of his clips and that together with his 130 kg can break a players neck the way he hits them. Just a dirty player in the end of the day.

Moz, you forgot his 4th red card from this forum for impersonating a rugby player of note…..

MPower there was a poster on here 8 years or so ago called OleCruz who was believed by some to be Tomas Lavanini. He left when his identity was challenged instead of just providing simple proof.

...and he started posting before Lavanini was even playing u20 rugby for Argentina...never mind senior provincial or super rugby...the best LARP/spoof in the history of larping...spanning a few years.

Very believable spoof, with the only real and obvious tell being his exceptional command of the English language...was a dead giveaway but we were a?l reluctant to accept it, because it was so good wile it lasted...good ole days.

Whoever he was, he was well schooled in rugby, it's players, etc and on top of that he knew Argentinian favourite dishes plus he claimed his Argentinian father had a pad in Cliftons Ist Beach and he knew the details. A well prepared "scam artist" that fooled most of us trusting types...afterall I personally cannot understand a mentality that would get a kick out of deceiving people...the cynics here claimed wisdom of discernment but what is also apparent here that a lot of the soothsayers, prophets and discerners are just presumptious speculators and are good guessers at best. I prefer to trust people and yes it makes you vulnerable and naive but over years I find it better that way.

However when there's a monetry mention on proposals nobody's more wary than me. I know what that can do. Cruz had nothing to gain and he entertained us until killjoy  Pooey got upset and went after him and spoiled the show...which was very entertaining.

However what really appears now is that Tomas Lavanni and Ole Cruz are definitely not the same personalities...the real Tomas has a vindictive nature, a spoiler who enjoys unnecessary weight throwing around....Ole Cruz was not like that, in fact rather engaging and co-operative. Lavanni is a thug, yes a very good lock but lacks control...a big powerful man with an immature personality.

Willem Alberts just got away with only a yellow for doing the same thing...too much subjective BS in rugby...Rassie should make videos of every match.
