And the All Blacks getting a lucky draw against Mighty Russia is nearly as bad as that disgusting display of the Springboks was.

Blitzbokke bow out

Nov 30,2012

South Africa have failed to reach the Cup quarter-finals in the HSBC Sevens World Series for the first time since 2001.

After beating England in their opening clash, the Blitzbokke suffered a shock 12-10 defeat to Portugal in their next match which was then followed by a 10-5 loss to Samoa.

South Africa never got going in the slippery, wet conditions and made just too many basic errors in their second loss of the day.

They will now play Russia on Saturday in the Bowl quarterfinals after finishing third in their pool at the Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens.

..my mistake...it was'nt the first time SA has failed to meet the quarter finals....seems there is more of a consistentcy in that department...thanks AB NZ for pointing that one out....Well done Samoa to take out the tournament but New Zealand is still leading the standings with 38 points no surprises there...with Fiji, Kenya and Samoa tied in second place on 32 points.
