Cane had a blinder, but the lad looked bad out there, like Frankenstein with his bandaged head and bleeding down the face and neck. Then when he is sent off for blood he wipes the blood all over his face and neck making light of it.. And then just to totally flout the hiv intentions of the blood rule , low fives his replacement with the hand that wiped the blood. You have to love this game!

He should have got a yellow card for coming back onto the field still bleeding non stop.

Maybe even a red if he was still bleeding after 10 minutes in the bin, and covering the yellow in blood

Agreed Mozart! Massive game from him. Really put up a hand. McCaw's injury (as bad as it is) could potentially help Cane get more gametime and begin challenging him for a starting spot.

Not sure how the All Blacks management will approach the whole "McCaw to 2015" project though.

Howzit Tommy, we had Rugnuts telling us last week that you cracked the starting lineup against Australia, leading to some of us popping the bubbly, but alas, the bloody fool saw a Tom in the team & jumped to conclusions. Oh well, sure it won't be very long before you do get that runon opportunity .

Cane had a great game but for me the man of the match was Read.  I doubt whether McCaw will make it to the neaxt RWC, but with Read they have the ideal successor if need be.

HA HA sharkbok that's the best thing ive heard all day. Totally Mozart he was excellent. Well see what he has in store for next time. Agree blobbok ...that was tough writing that down. Bok for short. Read is a natural leader like McCaw who leads by example more than words.

The way that Cane played against the boks he really did put his hand up. Kiwi management should lay the McCaw for 2015 to rest now. Cane is a worthy successor and desrves his chance Read will be an exccelent candidate to take over as Captain.
