Gatlin missed out on his prime because of doping. He may have amounted to much more than he did were it not for that. Not saying it didn't serve him right. He cheated and got what he dese rved.  

Yes that's an obvious point. But he came back from that and most would say he has paid his dues....unlike Ben Johnson and Lance Armstrong. Beating Christian Coleman on the weekend was a terrific performance....Gatlin was actually behind and won the race with superior top end speed. Impressive. ... As for his history, his friendship with Bolt....his mother's friendship with Bolt's mother says it's in the past.
