OOm Maaik
Maybe you should start with the almighty Cheetahs beating the lowly Stormers in their first meeting!
Also Mozart why don't you look at the current and past log standings before the last round, I do believe the Cheetahs are/were above the Stormers, so that in itself is a justifiable reason for a wrong prediction.
But looking at ranking table here
http://www.lassen.co.nz/s14tab.php
You ignored the entire history of the competition and based your prediction on a home game which the Cheetahs won by help of a last minute dodgy penalty
You need to learn that both sides in that match received dubious penalty and advantage calls that can be questioned, but the Cheetahs were better on the day we played better, wanted it more and completely deserved that win! Only a biased Stormers fan would question this, but I guess I am dealing with a one.
Shazzam you have obviously forgotten the once in a lifetime snatch by Pretorius off Groom's boot. Unbelievable luck....nope the loss was a black swan event. But I gather you also picked the Cheetahs last Saturday...hahaha.
Cheaser ou maaikie said the Stormers had NO Chance. Now witth tears in my eyes I ask you was that reasonable. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. I do trust you were not as daft as ou maaikie cheaser?
For the record the Cheetahs would noy have stood any chance at all against a full strength Stormers out - you can take that assessment as being entirely reasonable.
How much of picking a team to win is based on emotion? I know when it comes to my team I am all emotion. Man, they nearly beat the Bulls on the weekend (looking through my eyes). At least they penetrated teh Bulls defense and scored some points - LOL they scored more points against the bulls than the cheetahs scored against the Stormers.. Hahahahaha.
Cheetahs are good but have had less disruption than the Stormers or Sharks in this season. At one stage there were 14 players of the Stormers not available..
My prediction: Cheetahs will go nowhere in the competition, Bulls may make the quater finals but that will be it. Chiefs to win this year...or maybe that little team of Jake the Snake White..
Fred the figures re the injuries were - 17 for the Stormers and 19 for the sharks.
Ou maaaike did you really say No chance - hahahahahhaha. Ya shoudl have stuck with your original 30 % prediction - I said it was too low you will recall. But that no chance bit!!!
Anyhow maybe it was emotion or whatever?
I am not biased. Just a Stormers fan thank you very much
Me too!
Well Beeno aka StormingED the fact the Stormers faces so many injuries only adds to reasoning with the thought of a Stormers loss.
Mike took the words out of my mouth, try again Mozart. But there's another thing remember De Jong's first try, well Fourie knocked the ball on just before, so don't play the unlucky card.
Fred, well the Cheetahs have already improved drastically since last year that we've got no pint to prove re ability wise. The Kings on the other hand are going to face the relegation match against the Lions, so we'll see how that goes.
It's funny how Biased views and Stormers fans coincide, isn't it Spoony?
"It's funny how Biased views and Stormers fans coincide, isn't it Spoony?"
Shezza, so its only Stormers fans or is it mostly Stormers fans that are biased? Or is it only on this site?
PS: Is your statement not bias in some way as well? Who do you support, Cheetahs?

Mozart
Forgot about Pretorius try - what about the once-in-a-lifetime penalty where the off-side players team got the penalty - against the defending team and let to a try by your pet? If Pretorius's try was a once-in-a-lifetime story the referees's decision to award a penalty to the offending side is really unique. Incidentally although not made public - the referee had not been used for 6 weeks after that incident not to referee any game at all.
You know you are talking crap - so lets just forget about the coward - who always pretends to be wise after the fact.
A perfect example of ducking and diving and avoiding the issue. The question is not about who won by which margin due to which mistakes by what referee. The question was that you said that the Stormers had no chance of beating the Cheetahs. What happened? You are so good with massive explanations and lengthy essays when you spot something that you think that you have predicted correctly. How about a detailed analysis of what happened at Newlands last weekend and what went wrong....................... or right? LOL
DdDrad, yes I'm a Cheetahs fan and I can already see where you're going to take this so beforehand I'll explain. None, more like the majority of Stormers fans are biased (eg Beeno aka StormingED and Spoon). I may be bias, but I'm not stupidly bias as the two mentioned, every loss the Cheetaha have had this year I've accepted and have barely questioned, I accepted the loss to Stormers on Saturday but what I haven't accepted is that people have come up with this idea that the Cheetahs had no chance whatsoever against the Stormers and that they're so untouchable. But when they lose its the refs fault or what not.
I hear what you are saying bluebok, but our friend Maaik had one hell of a long essay again, IIRC, about why the Stormers had no chance of beating teh Cheetahs. Now remember that I am a Bulls supporter and I am by no means excited that the Stormers won the game, forf obvious reasons. I, like Mozart, just find it intriguing that Maaik has not come up with another thesis explaining how and why he went wrong with his prediction.
Cheaser please! It was ou maaaikie who said that the Mighty Stormers had no chance. If he had stuck to his original 30 % prediction he may have got away with that.So you cant say we were all arrogant etc.
By the way our 17 injuries are not an excuse and neither are the sharks 19 - just facts - something I am partial too!
I see Kolisi is now out for 6 weeks!
However ou maaaikie is our resident fantasy rugby champ so he will be quite pleased with his predictions thus far even though he came rather short with this one - as always he should make a pointof always paying close attention to what Beeno says. Bwhahahhaahahhahaha
Beeno aka StormingED, I'm not saying that they're an excuse but another measuring factor for someone who has made a prediction beforehand.
Well seeing as Mike supports the Sharks I find it hard to be scornful towards him.
Ohhh I see. So it was hidden away in some general essay, to make sure the egg does not show too much. LOL
Calm down ou Maaikie, calm down.
Spot on ou Maaik. Ask these loud-mouthed tossers to show you the predictions they made before they start squealing about yours. At least you had the guts to make a prediction.
Oh and you'd better make sure the resident board liar understands that you're talking about predictions rather than postdictions . . . the pompous old buffoon does struggle to differentiate between the two.
