Todays backline does not excite me at all. It's made up of a bunch of old farts, who lets face it have seen their best days. The only youngster on board is Hougaard, followed by JP - the rest are past it.

We have the ponderous plodder at 10, how much longer do we have to endure this guy at test level. Hell how good was Cruden and Barret today - young enthusiastic runners - the way the game should be played.

Then we have Olivier at 12, yet to establish himself at test level given he has always been in Jean's shadow and now past it.

We have Jean at 13, who has been solid in his two tests, but lets face it he is past it.

Habana had a good first test, but come on, he is hardly the new and fresh

Then we have wee Aplon at 15, heaven help us. The way Gear slapped Earls today showed exactly why test rugby if for the big guys

This Bok backline is geriatric and does not inspire me at all. Meyer best move on significantly come Oz and NZ in a few months

Snapster are you picking England to win then?

Look this is a way from being out best match 22 . Olivier is no Frans for sure. Jean and Habana are fine as is Hougaard. How Aplon goes is always a concern given his slight frame and we shall have to see how he copes.

I just hope we get all our forwards back soon.

I wonder if the bulle will play Serfontein in the Super Comp and whether  more of the under  21 guys will get a shot. Still not sure where all these guys reside.

Olivier and Morne Steyn will not get the backline running. See what happened when Frans Steyn left the field last week. The "ponderous plodding" duo will offer little on attack. What is the weather in PE like today- is it windy as predicted. Could work for the up and unders or back fire if over kicked.

I think that Olivier should have been removed from the team as soon as it was announced he is going to Japan. This dead rubber test is the ideal chance to bring in a newer player, not waist on a player who has never proven anything at test level, and that is not even going to be playing for the boks ever again.

I still support Olivier, and am not being negative. But it is just too much to given that he probably should not be in the team anway- and now he is leaving. It is lot of bull.

Cant say I expect too much from this side. However the test will serve a purpose by exposing thsoe who are not up to it. So whatever happens there will be value in the afternoon.

Wrong Moz, Olivier would not have smelt my side and nor would Jean, Morne or Aplon. Come to think of it, I'm not convinced Habana would have either

You'de be stupid to not have Habana in your team especially now the way Meyer is including him more! Habana's workrate is rivalled only to Jean at present and the speed he brings to the table is still there.
