The Cheetahs ended up 13th of the 18 teams in the competition.

They also lost 11 of the 15 matches played and had a total of 551 pts scored against them ... managing 395 pts themselves ... more than 50 pts better than what the Bulls could muster this season.

How any of them made the Goat mix is beyond me.

The Sharks ended at 7th of the 18 teams in the competition.

They lost 5 of the 15 matches played and had a total of 323 pts scored against them ... managing a mere 392 pts themselves this season ... rather concerning.

I'm puzzled to see the likes of Coenie, Beast, Chiliboy and Bosch making the Goats mix ... and even more puzzled to see the names of Am and Nkosi left out. Boggles the mind.

The Lions ended up top of the log this season. They lost 1 of the 15 matches played and had 268 pts scored against them. They chalked up an impressive 590 pts this season with only the Canes out scoring them by a mere 6 pts.

They were head and shoulders above any of the South African franchises and yet only have 7 players representing them in Coetzee's Goat mix.

I can think of only 3 reasons why Quota Outa got it so wrong this time round.

1. He didn't bother watching SR this season and isn't able to identify the on form talent we have available.

2. He did ... but is just to ignorant to see it.

3. He's done this deliberately because of his racist prejudice and is determined not to have his favourites upstaged by the talented whiteys out there.

I wonder ... whatever could it be.. ??

What these players did collectively in their super Rugby teams throughout the year has no bearing on how they will perform as a unit playing for the Boks, so showing which team scored how many points during this year in their own teams is irrelevant.

I would also like to add that I was of the opinion that Allister Coetzee was picking and choosing players based on race as well, just like your article implies.

I got that seriously wrong.... and I am happy to admit that I had that wrong all along.

For a guy who acts like he knows so much about the game, and posts far more rugby posts than I do, and constantly ridicules others for not posting about rugby..... I find it stupefying that you actually still believe what you posted on top.

So because certain teams, as a collective, leaked a certain amount of tries throughout the past season, and allowed another team, as a collective, to let in 100 points more than them..... that team's individual players that are then selected for the Springboks are automatically useless?

Different player positions

Different work ethic

Different coaching

Different conditioning

Different testing  

But all these players you mention that are sh!t, remain the same sh!t player as they were when they were playing for their province?
