I'm not a sycophant or lackey...I have rebellious Irish blood which has a tend ancy/weakness to disturb and disrupt and throw the spanner in the works but kudos to Ed who gave a strong and sensible reply:

 You make a good point.  Looking at some of the emotional reactions of some senior posters here it makes good sense not to allow individuals to band together as a lynch mob in order to settle a score.  Whilst almost all agree there should be freedom of speech and opinion, the lynching tends to show a measure of hypocrisy and mob mentality not needed.
The developers should make it more difficult for spammers and web-bots to disrupt the forum.  But creating a lynch-mob seems counter productive.

 Yes, ED is level headed & he was right on this one. Mach, it seems it is difficult to stop spammers & web-bots on this site so the solution ED put in place lets us get rid of them rather than waiting for ED to notice. For sure we don't need to have us posters banning people that's like giving a nuclear bomb to Tr@ump or that bloke in North Korea.

 Yes, ED has shown good judgement in allowing for the fact that some posters are illiterate so he let's us all use an x to indicate our vote. He keeps it simple for the simpleminded - whoever he might be . Also showed excellent judgement on the edit on the name Tr@ump
One question ED, if your program can detect which posts are spam and the display he option for us to vote why not just automatically eliminate the spam?

I have been on a few forums over the years, and the one great thing about this one is the relative freedom to chat. I'm a newbie here, but I already appreciate it. We should be thankful! D on't kick a gift horse in the mouth.
