Our next interet after the Epic Game Yesterday

The rugby emphasis now shifts the final of the Grade 1 Division of the CC on Saturday as well as the final round robin game the coming weekend - to be followed by the CC semi-final an the Final of the CC over the next thee weeks.

In two weeks time Meyer has to announce his team for the EOYT and that would be interesting as well.   Would he stay with the present squad or made some very necessary changes - especially since there are players who are more of a liability than an asset? 

The followed the EOYT and here we will obviously have a keen interest in the AB's, Wallabies and Pumas tours as well.

After the AB's showed us how to really compete - the tragedy is that many New Zealand members of the site and AB supporters will vanish from site - they will be really missed and I hope they stay in contact and keep the board the really interesting place it is.

For me personally - I will be watching cricket more frequently - since we really are going into a number of fascinating series over the next three months.

Then it will be back to Super 15 and the weekly toil on selecting the correct players in the fantasy teams.   I will especially look forward to that

The next series coming up with SA is against Pakistan in Dubai - followed by a series of games against India in SA and thereafter a series against Australia at home.   SA is at this stage the no 1 ranked cricket test team in the world - so the upcoming series would increase our rating further if we clean up in the upcoming series. 

Our problem is that we do not do well in ODI's and T20 games and we need to do some really hard work to get to the ODI and T20 rankings to also be no 1.   Think India in SA will be easy meat  - since the wickets here favour our fast bowlers - but in Dubai we may have problems in the latter two series.   

The next series involving SA and New Zealand is apparently some time towards the end of next year.

Get real.  Once the Sharks get back their forwards - especially Beast, Jannie, Bismarck and Pieter Steph - the wee WP little boys have no chance with the CC.   The Sharks backline will benefit from the return of Lambie as well and we have the backline to beat you puny WP with one hand tied behind our backs in the final.  

I was hoping that Jordaan would be back to show poor De Jongh how CC rugby - any rugby where defence is required - should be played,  but he is not back yet.

Beware of the Sharks - they are going to have the Stormers crying for help this year - and next year in  Super 15 as well.  You lot better employ White - and let him run the show - otherwise the puny WP are going to be badly  whipped soon.
