What is becoming obvious is that wee Dan Coles is a dirty player. Put and elbow into Ashley cooper who had to cry off with concussion. Alos slammed a forearm into Wobbly player. Needless to say no yellow cards. Its amazing really. Wobblies transgressed and yellow was forthcoming.What is Roman Potty doing reffing!  Going into second half.

Will watch the game now. Beeno unsupervised on this thread but according to his unique "interpretation" of the game it was the refs fault, I am stunned 

 Poite-deToite scored four tries and kicked a penalty for the ABs ,he then kicked the ball outta that womblies hands .So whats your excuse if the Boks lose numb-nuts ? Was Jupiter not aligned with Mars or something equally as stupid ?

When your side is clearly inferior, you need to find a way to compete and throw the opposition off their game.

The Wallabies opted for niggle as their weapon of choice during the 29-9 loss to the All Blacks on Saturday night in Wellington.

Their main game plan appeared to be to get under the skin of the men in black, and hope it would be enough to open up opportunities on the playing field.

The logic is sound.

Did it work? In patches, but not like Michael Cheika and company would have hoped.

In the opening five minutes there were three instances where the Australians initiated contact, shirt pulling, nipple twisting, chest shoving, you name it.

That was the obvious stuff. It was off the ball, away from the referee where they were being particularly sneaky about it.

Ben Smith took a flaying arm to the throat from Michael Hooper after he put up a high kick, the Aussie flanker deviating from his path in order to land the swift blow well after the kick was made.

Adam Coleman, preparing for a particularly dirty night, threw Brodie Retallick to the ground five metres from a ruck. He was one man the Wallabies targeted, alongside Dane Coles.

Captain Stephen Moore attempted to shove Coles when a scrum broke down, and knowing he was capable of a brain snap in his younger days, the Wallabies kept at Coles.

The snap came, but a likely sought after yellow card didn't. Quade Cooper and Coles had a verbal sparring session, and moments later Coles drilled his forearm into the neck and head area of Scott Fardy.

Upstairs the play went, and an All Blacks penalty was overturned as a result. Not quite the result the Wallabies would have wanted, but it was something.

The All Blacks were far from saints. Owen Franks could be forced to sweat after his fingers got dangerously close to the eyes of an Australian forward during a maul.

You'd expect the moment to be reviewed following the match, and eye gouging offences can have big punishments.

The first and only card of the match went to Coleman for a dirty, late shoulder charge on Ben Smith late in the first half.

The fastest the Wallabies moved was when there was a chance for niggle, including the moment Franks hadn't heard a whistle, attempted to strip the ball and was then clattered by four yellow jerseys.

At about the 50 minute mark the niggle stopped. It wasn't working. They'd tried to throw the All Blacks off their game and failed.

The Wallabies, and in turn the All Blacks, turned to actual rugby, and there the Kiwis landed a knock out blow.

 HACKED WAAAUGH IF THE WEE ABS HAD ANY TRUE CONFIDENCE THEY WOULD NOT NEED REF IN POCKET TYPES LIKE POTTY.Beeno logical to a fault!

 Beeno, Boks could be in trouble in the upcoming game as Glen Jackson is only an assistant ref not the ref. Can Glen save the Boks from themselves against the Argies at home? Surely the Boks can execute a pass or two & have one of their "beefy" forwards flop on the ball over the line? I have my doubts.

 Wallies were unlucky to be the last straw yellow. Both teams were throwing handbags throughout the match. Coles would have carded if he was Bismarck,  but all in all, the AB's were on another level than the Wallies.

Was good under the high ball and ran hard and straight at the line to assist with the Dane Coles try in the 62nd minute.

14 Israel Dagg
First two tries of the game. Assisted with the Julian Savea try with a good catch under the high ball in the 47th minute. Dagg is a real finisher at the moment and what more can you ask from the man on the wing.

13 Malakai Fekitoa
Conceded a penalty at the breakdown in the nineteenth minute but combined well with Anton Lienert-Brown in the centre combination and put in a committed effort on defence.

12 Anton Lienert-Brown
Made his Test debut at just 21 years of age. Assisted in the first try with a good pass over the top to draw in the Australia defence and combined well with Beauden Barrett for the second try. Caused the Wallabies defence all sorts of problems throughout the game. An absolute pleasure to watch.

Savea did the basics well but did not make himself involved enough in the game throughout the 80 minutes, he was not able to compete with Cooper for a high ball in the 43rd minute, however, he raced down the wing with pace and power and dotted down for the five-pointer in the 47th minute.

10 Beauden Barrett
Fantastic runs which we have become accustomed to opened up the Wallabies defensive line for the second try of the game which Israel Dagg scored. Missed a few kicks but besides, for that, he had a near perfect game.

Aron Smith

Led the Haka with passion and accuracy.  His stepping and link-up play assisted in the first try which was scored by Israel Dagg. A performance which we have come to expect from the lively scrumhalf.

8 Kieran Read (captain)
Read led from the front and he was good with ball in hand and was an effective line-out option. His good handling skills made sure that the forwards and backs combined well throughout the game.

Quick off the ball and made some big tackles. Was rewarded for his efforts with a try in the 62nd minute.

Physical game and did plenty work off the ball.

5 Samuel Whitelock
Whitelock won the line-out against the throw in the 15th minute and was committed on defence. Not one to steal the limelight but did exactly what was required from the big lock.

Coles consistently found his line-out jumper and his good pace and footwork saw him run down the wing and trouble the Wallabies defensive line on many occasions.

 Some 10s in the scoring! Not sure that ALB rated a 10 but he was good, probably an 8 is more like it. But anyway another find for the ABs.
Dagg also assessed as 10 but I would say 8. Other assessments had Franks as playing a really good game but right now there is some question about if he eye-gouged so, I would be very surprised if this turns out to be true as the ABs don't do that & the incident took place in full view of the ref, the cameras & the crowd. I don't think he is that stupid.
Glad TJ had a good game, I brought my first pair of rugby boots of his grandfather back in the day More importantly we have another 9 putting his hand up.

 TJ  has matured heaps in the last 2 seasons ,the ABs machine keeps developing talent like no other !I feel for Wallies fans ,except Re dsmong I hope its guting him .

 What on earth were they thinking bringing on Quadoh ?- even the Toulon coach has said he's  gone from foie gras to pate... 

 Ha ha, remember the headline before the game, they were going to "unleash" Cooper 

 
Cheika may be upset further by the fact that prop Owen Franks has escaped a citing from Sanzaar after footage appeared showing his hand coming into contact with lock Kane Douglas's face in a maul.

It seemed very unlikely that he could be that stupid.
