Mozart has an almost unbelievable dislike of Serfotein - but also of some other players as well. But lert us concentrate on Serfontein here and look at ghis stats for the past three tests he played in:-
Serfontein0/001/2/518000012/10/010/0
Serfontein0/002/7/1351232113/40/010/0
Serfontein0/003/14/27105242231/70/020/0
The question remains - are the above statistics as bad as Mozart gives Serfotntein out to be. I frankly do not thinks so,
* The youngster is actually showing some flare in attacking play. averaging 3,8 meters over the gain line per carry - not to be sneezed at.
* His missed tackle ratio is 18.4%. This could be slightly better - but it defnitely is the disaster area Mozart makes it out to be.
There are others sharing my view on the issue if the following comments are borne in mind:-
"12 Jan Serfontein:Made plenty of metres and was very abrasive in the contact, gave Weir some nightmares when he got a head of steam up.9/10"
Personally I do not think that De Villiers should be replaced by Serfontein at this stage - but Serfontein is definitely a very g ood back up for him.
