Big time,
I'm far less annoyed by the cancelled try than I am by the kicking business. It's like they felt lucky to be there, like they didn't deserve to be that high on the log, and that they were going out there just to survive. Leinster obviously wanted to apply a rush defence and that was clear within sixty seconds. But kicking isn't the only solution to that. And terrible kicking isn't a solution to anything, ever.
You look back now and think that they were right in the game until the very end despite losing their best forward, having a try cancelled and employing their worst gameplan of the season, and you realise they could easily have won.
But it is also worth remembering that when Venter was banned for that hit on Fassi, they struggled and I think lost most of the games that he didn't play.
And I'm the most gutted for Venter.
Poor guy man. He showed everything this year. Perfect temperament, skill, power, reliability...I honestly cannot think of a box he didn't tick. These bloody kids work their arses off to get where they are and then have to deal with obstacles like this.
I hope the lad doesn't feel too down this morning. And I hope it's not as serious as it looked.
