Throw away their play off chances against the Lions - how bloody pathetic. Poor leadership in taking kicks when they should have capitalised on their physical dominance and gone for the tries.

Too many spilt balls and selecting Hattingh at lock ahead of Willemse was very poor.

Talk about a side turning its fortunes around late in the season, then going in against the Lions and disrespecting them and underestimating them only to see them see their arses........when will sides ever learn not to underestimate the opposition.......resting old man Matfield was a clear indication they expected to walk all over the Lions.

Pathetic end to the Bulls hopes

It just wouldn't be South African style to do their countrymen any "favours!" Look, I dont mean role over and die. Thats not what any team should do and its a matter of pride but why do we see the Lions and Stormers be pathetic most of the year but absolutely fire themselves up to "ruin" the chances of their countrymen who can still make it?
Why do we not see this sort of display of courage from them when they play the overseas teams? Every year we see the same thing..What we saw today with the Sharks loss is basically any chance of a home final fallen by the wayside and the Sharks will likely finish 3rd and be made to travel again if they win their playoff match in Durban.
Not the Stormers fault though. They did their best to lose that one as is evident with the game Catrakilis had but Sharks couldn't capitalise and McCleod had a rush of blood to the head and decided to kick possession away (a little dink kick too instead of hoofing it) when the clock read 79.42...20 seconds is all we needed. McCleod to slow down, let Vermuelen tackle him and let the support arrive and by the time we play the ball, hooter has gone!
Sharks just dont do themselves any favours. EVER! Same as the Bulls today!

I recall the Sharks poutting out the Log topping Stormers. But it s a question. The Lions played like men possesse. The Stormers I feel were nothing too special but the Sharks shockingly bad. As snapster alludes too one can never underestimate any side. Any side in the Super 15 can win on its day. Sides at the bottom of the log get desparate. Jobs and players are on the line. Such men are dangerous.
Willemse should defintely have started. He is immensely strong and would asurely have got over the line once more.
Both Faf and Boschoff should have made the Bok squad. I see Britz was playing lock again. To me he is an excellent 7 with real pace and skills and a 80 minute goer. Akkers should have left him at 7. I prefer Tecklenburg to Kriel. Lions just need to beef up their pack without loosing their considerable mobility.Dave your Hanekom looks like a useful small centre but no more than that.
