This idiot did not have the first idea what he was doing when it came to the scrums. The fool kept penalising Coenie for scrumming in when it was clear that it was impossible to tell who the culprit was given both Coenie and v/d Merwe started the inward movement simultaneously.

This idiot took it upon himself to target Coenie, leading to a card only to then confirm his incompetence by awarding a free kick to the Cheetahs after the next scrum with the Cheetahs replacement tighthead and the Lions loosehead both scrumming inwards.

So now that Coenie had left the park and the scrumming was still inwards, all of a sudden it was the Lions looseheads fault????

Geez how did this complete fool get to ref at this level?

If blame was to be apportioned, it would have to go to the Lions loosehead given that the scrumming ended inwards when he scrummed against Coenie and his replacement. The common denominator was the loosehead.

However, reality is, no-one can make the call as to who is to blame for inward scrumming when both props are offending at the same time. Best of all this idiot was making this call standing on the wrong side of the scrum.

Incompetence of the highest order

"Geez how did this complete full get to ref at this level?" It should be "fool" you stupid prick.

When the moon is in the seventh house, and Jupiter aligns with Mars, then peace will guide the planets, and Coenie will join the stars.
Nope I guess it's a long shot.

Ou Safesex, you are the last one that I would trust to know whether the ref got it right or not. I am sure that I was not the only one who think he got it right. Go watch the game and check how Coenie "twisted" in on the scrum. BTW, on one of the occasions, it was actually the AR who made the call but you are so fucking stupid that you thought that: "........ this idiot was making this call standing on the wrong side of the scrum."
There is no right or wrong side of the scrum for the ref. You are a fucking laugh a minute you stupid fucking clown. Do you want a link where you can download the laws of the game or are you at least capable to find i t yourself? Ask if you don't know how and I will tell  you tomorrow.

Scrumming is too complicated, need to dumb it down because every ref has a different interpretation for something that is such a big part of the game.

So Moz, are you saying that the ref got it right when he gave the Cheetahs a free kick after Coenie's departure, given the infringement was exactly the same - ie inwards scrumming.......so while Coenie was on the field, its was Coenie's fault for the inwards scrumming, but as soon as Coenie departed, the fault then shifted to v/d Merwe for inwards scrumming?????

Wow I'd like to see you worm your way out of this one - take your time though

Hahahaha Dutchie and let me guess you are an authority on rugby are you?

I did watch the game you prick and I am telling you you are lying if you are saying that Coenie initiated the inwards scrumming - you don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

Given your pathetic conclusion, go answer my question to Moz above.....at least with Moz I can be assured of something concrete in response, with you its just rugby ignorance personified. You would not know where to start - too stupid too Dutch.

Did I say that there was a correct side for the ref to stand......I said he was not in a position to make the call on Coenie when standing on the other side........he had ignorantly targeted Coenie, wanted to make a point regardless of the facts......call from the touch judge my arse - you fucking liar.

Hahahaha Dutchie and let me guess you are an authority on rugby are you? Nope. Unlike you, I have never said  so. Having said that, what makes you an authority. Oh wait, Hennie Le Roux ended your career and he was a Springbok, so you have to be an authority.

I did watch the game you prick and I am telling you you are lying if you are saying that Coenie initiated the inwards scrumming - you don't know what the fuck you are talking about. I also watched it and I saw Coenie scrumming inwards before his opponent.

Given your pathetic conclusion, go answer my question to Moz above.....at least with Moz I can be assured of something concrete in response, with you its just rugby ignorance personified. You would not know where to start - too stupid too Dutch. I don't give a shit about what happened after Coenie left. I replied to your remark that the ref made a mistake and that was it. finish. No take  your finger out of your arse and take off your sister's dress.

Did I say that there was a correct side for the ref to stand......I said he was not in a position to make the call on Coenie when standing on the other side........he had ignorantly targeted Coenie, wanted to make a point regardless of the facts......call from the touch judge my arse - you fucking liar.

No, you are the fucking liar. You said: "Best of all this idiot was making this call standing on the wrong side of the scrum."

Now pardon this poor fucking Dutchman - who supposedly and in your book - do not understand a  word of English, but if something is not wrong, then  it has to be right/correct, not so?

Dutchie if you saw Coenie scrumming inwards before v/d Merwe, you are either fucking blind or just a useless liar.......given the twat you are, my guess its just a lie.

What happened after Coenie left is relevant you ignorant prick - try wake up and work out why it is relevant.

He did make the call standing on the wrong side of the scrum when he carded him you fucking liar

 Dear Idiot,

There is no wrong side of the scrum. Fullstop. The referee can stand wherever he likes and there will ALWAYS BE "the other side", but not "the wrong side". And he will usually ask the Assistant Referee to assist him with a possible call (if required), from the "other side"... Please note, not the "wrong side"...

And officials always get everything right, do they ? Even when they " work in tandem " ?
I think that is up for debate and can be disproven times over, can't it ? Crikey, my team even won the Premiership Final a few weeks ago with a Try that never was.....the Video Ref awarded it, you see. He who has all the angles. Pity he failed to see that the ball didn't ever actually touch the line
And, it is also a pity that the Ref and both pitch side officials failed to spot the infringements leading up to the "Try"' all of which were directly in front of said Ref, that should have led to Saracens being awarded a Penalty and thus winning the game instead of us.
There you go...an unbiased view of four officials making errors in one match that meant my team actually won a Trophy for the first time since the League began.  It does happen....more often than you know....especially if the Ref is called Steve Walsh  But that is another story.........

Refs get way more decisions 100% spot-on then what they get wrong....

Nobody seems to have anything to say about that.

Is it more likely the ref was wrong....or Coenie was scrumming poorly as he has done in almost every match this S15. Were those refs also wrong?

Crap there has been nothing wrong with Coenie's scrumming all season - if there had been your hero Meyer would not have selected him

Maybe Coenie should become a ref because his scrumming is piss poor....Now days he is not a tighthead or loosehead. His neck is buggered.
He should try hooker now that Strauss is moving to the Bulls. He just needs to learn how to throw the ball in the lineout which he should be able to do given his allround skills outside of the scrum

I could probably knitt better than you could assess rugby players or a rugby game. I have never tried yet but maybe even attempt blindfolded to give you a chance.

Apart from players weight and age, everyone on this board knows more than you do.
