Performance Assesment - SA "A" team:

There are some aspects that deserve mention and those are :
*   On the whole the scrumming was questionable and in some respects poor - especially when the subs came on.
*   There were also question marks about the replacement lock and essentially line out situation.   The line-outs became a mess when Jenkins came on from the bench and the earlier line-out dominance were eliminated, 
*   There was vey little cohesion in the loosie combination and the situation was made worse by ball handling problems.
*   Despite an occasional poor kicking - which put the team under pressure -  the halfbacks were good,   Lionel Cronje missed a number of kicks at goal -- but those were all difficult to convert because of the places where tries were scored. 
*   Vorster had a top class game and I still have doubts about why Jantjies so often make skip passes to Mapoe - when Vorster was playing for the Lions.   Matter of fact to my mind Vorster was the best player on display and one wonders how he can be kept out of the Springbok squad by the likes of Steyn and  Serfontein.  Problem was with De Jongh whose contribution to the backline was minimal - both in attack and defense.
*   The outside backs had good games in general.

Having these B team games are good. It is effective for bringing players through into the 1st team with less risk. The Lions touring mid week games. 
The only problem is that they are rarely on Skye Sports

 Not much into that grade thing.

Yet, some measure maybe.

A scale over 40 is better adjusted for anyone wanting to separate between shockling poor and shockling poor performances.

Most players must not be awarded more than 8 out of 40 (leaving room for discriminating between players)

 Wtf?

 Can't really assess a team that gets together once in a while for a run out Mike.
