There are two positions which showed deficiencies today and those are our props and Hougaard. There need to be seriously looked at finding a real back up for Beast - the problems today did not provide an answer. I think Coenie is not a loose head scrummager - he was poor today. Jannie was so-so and I think that he will also have to be replaced in time to come.
Wad frankly not impressed with Van der Merwe either - he obviously is not ready for test rugby.
Insofar as Hougaard is concerned there is no way that guy is an international level scrummie. Too many flaws in his performance today. Time to look again at Reinach.
