Lets look at he team of the Stormers and summarize who were the poor players today - whose performances were average and who deserve the rocket for poor eprformance.

Pietersen

His goalkicking was pathetic and his line kicking worse.   You do not miss kicking out a penalty kick - that says it all.

Habana

Showed flashes of very good play - deserves thoughy his place in the team.

De Jongh

Made a contribution to one attacking move by the Stormers.  Handed over possession twice to the Blues and his defence was putrid.   Defiitely a liability in the team

De Villiers

Brilliant performance

Aplon

One good move and tried his best - but his performance was average.

Van Aswegen

Solid performer - good ball distributor - solid in defence - good in all aspects of the game.

Duvenhage

Box kicks were atrocious and a guaranteed handover of possession.  Under-par performance on the whole

Vermeulen

Very hard worker - not flashy - but defnitely had a good solid performance

Elstadt

Very hard worker - not flashy - but definitely had a good solid performance

Kolisi

Defence good - but showed nothing else.  Effectively no ball carrying and ball handling skills could be classified as poor.  On the balance - average performance.

Bekker

Good performance - all aspects of the game.

Steenkamp

Poor performance on average.   Gave away costly penalty.

Malherbe

Very good scrummager - did well for his team

Fourie

Very good in loose play

Kitshoff

Very good scrummaging - did well for his team

Etzebeth

Not up to standard - evident that he needs more game time to get to the top

Cilliers

Poor scrumming - not up to standard

Jantjies

Does he ever do anytjing right in rugby?   Came on and buggerred up repeatedly.   Very poor.

Mike, spot on with your assessments! Bekker is a classy player! Beeno might not agree with your assessment of Eben though LOL - psssssst I think he has a shrine to him somewhere in his backyard/garage
