May I suggest that we all moderate our language on site and not get personal about issues.   As humans I think that we all make mistakes and that we are all entitled to three things - the right to differ on issues, the right to change our minds on issues and the right to suggest differences in team selection.

This could be done without name-calling or saying people are liars or suggesting manure description of other peoples stated opinions.    I had the privilege of meeting Saffex in London and found him to be a thoroughly  nice person .   I also had the privilege  of speaking over the phone with Mozart and found him a real gentleman.

Lets get back to the opinions we have on rugby matters and make fun of each other without getting personal - that would be a much better approach than the personal attacks found on the site at present.

By the way I have not changed my mind about Jantjies and Pieter-Steph Du Toit or for that matter Morne Steyn as well - so we can keep arguing about those issues with dignity and respect for each other.:)

And Editor - please get rid of the item dealing with Tom Cruise's divorce.    I think it has no rugby bearing at all and seems to put them in a situation more suitable to gossip columnists than on a rugby site.    How many divorces must you have to qualify on a rugby site discussion.:)

Please Mike if you want an entirely sanitised board join the vicars ladies tea party!!  I would agree that extreme abuse and foul language are downers but we have not had much of that at all and the oaks concerned generally get a ticking off by the rest and calm down. Very good tone on this board in my view.

As for Katie's thread you appear to be jealous of my special standing in her life - like poor ou hakwa who has been lieing through his teeth on the issue! !!

Bwahahahahahahahahaha - keep the banter  and fun rolling but lets not be too mean or vulgar I say!

Agreed. Fun and banter are brilliant! Personal insults are not.

Beeno

Com now - I am never a vicar's favourite and definitely like strong arguments and banter - but without reference to liars and manure.    I highly respect Mozart and Saffex - as indicated - and does not like the issue raised on a personal and somewhat insulting and nasty basis.

There is enough manure being spread around on this Board - without getting into it full scale.   I sit on my throne and from there spread all manure I put on this as gospel on this site.  :)

Sorry Mike but its one perspective. Things are pretty mild here on the whole. Perhaps I got used to the sheer vindictiveness of super shithouse board. Were some very nasty types there.

But I think we are all basically on the same page. We do not want a sanitised board nor extreme bad behaviour. I have not noticed much bad behavious here for  a long time. Some mild insults are part of the fun - you give and you get but I think at bottom its nice not to have a hateful mean spirit.

Also it helps if guys like hakwa could be more honest - e.g. katie!

Also please dont think for a moment that Dr Moz doesn't love stirring the pot with snapster or that snapster doesnt like to engage him being a lawyer etc - its all grist to the mill.

Moz and I have been trading insults for over 10 years, its a mutual respect thing - I like the old boy really even though we never agree on anything

@mike

Agree for the most part...

But i quite enjoy speaking about Scientology and the clowns that bow down to it.

It makes for good banter!

Yes Flash some items of interest included amongst the rugby posts are great.

One has to read between the lines. There are plots and subplots. subtleties an innuendoes.  The kiwis are of course not subtle and can be read like an open book.

Name calling and abuse smacks of immaturity, it's the kinda thing we did as kids when we didn't get our own way....to my way of thinking it's the type of "tools" used by those incapable of debating with wit and reason.

And there I thought the name snapster had a ring about it!! Then again I do not know what snapster's shrink thinks of it and its long term effects etc.

Hate and real abuse though have to be unwanted.

and while we're on the subject of board decorum, I must say Osama I find your Avatar in poor taste if not despicable. No-one in his right mind projects evil.

Blokbok

Yes - but since my knowledge of rugby is so much above that of everybody else - especially the Kiwis - I decided on a namechange.:)

Ah rooitwit. Now there was an oak with a loose screw. Mike of course used to give him a good snotklap and he would wail away for days on end!! Was very funny though  -  funniest poster I ever encountered.  However when corrected, as he needed to be, he would have a tantrum and throw his toys out the kott. He liked nothing better to have go at some unsuspecting upright citizen. Limited rugby knowledge but very adamant. Bright boy but immature. Needed guidance which I of course attempted to provide together with Dr Moz who was his nemisis really.

Sadly though rooinek had a glass jaw and finally collapsed in a heap. He threw his last tantrum and hissy fit and disappeared and that was the very sad end of wee rooitwit. maybe snapster knows his whereabouts

RIP rooitwit we miss you.

Another guy we miss is sharkie. He posted here a few times but has immigrated to the States and is trying to make a life there. Whether he is too busy to post a bit here or does not have the inclination to post these days I dont know. Moz/denny etc get hold of the guy?

Sharkie is a guy who is also very much missed as like ou rooitwit he was a dynamic poster.

Bobbok remind me - did you post with us on sarugby.NET.

Beano howzit, yep I was way back on Supersport that dumped all o/seas members, migrated to sarugby (nic of 'kobkobdu'), selfnamed home of Bok rugby , who dumped all of us on the eve of a test match ....... then as you know the various SS sites where you were sadly dumped .

But now you're a Legend & the BierpompBeker remains safely ensconced op Nuweland .

Rooinek never got a klap from anyone, that boy used to dish the klaps out in a big way. Met him and his wife for drinks in London and boy what a nice couple. He was a real salt of the earth lad. I dont stay in touch but have his e-mail address still. He was a great poster, with plenty of knowledge - he is missed.

I have Sharkie as a mate on Facebook, but I hardly use Facebook, but know he went through a really tough time health wise, but think he is ok now. I will catch up with him sometime.

We could do with those two posters, but I suspect they stay away for a reason. Sharkie being in the States probably does not see much rugby

Ou rooinek was definitely a bag of tricks. He used to call me baboon ou and had a vey funny picture of a baboon that he liked to post from time to time to underline his point - small things amuse small minds - hahahahaha. No I have nothing against ou rooitwit but he could rile folk up no end!!

Great if these two were here. We would have to keep ou rooitwit in line though as some folk here would not cope too well as they wouldn't understand ou rooitwits off beat sense of humour!!!!

Yes I do recall that name Bobok. I am afraid in a little while everyone will be a legend here!   You refer to SA RUGBY.NET  - the offical Bok website to clarify matter - and NOT Sarugby .com this website.

As to the bannings, I have only ever been banned at one site and 4 times nogal!! Never thought I was that bad!!! I mean even rooitwat wasnt banned there. Ou saffex leads a charmed life there but its his good looks and charming personality that keeps his ship afloat! Hahahahahhaha

Too many bad boys and so SA rugby.net and supersport closed down their forum!!  Hence the problem with an oak like rooitwit. Great poster if you can handle it. Had me rolling in the aisles! But lots of drama. Maybe he has matured a little?
