According to Plumtree the main reason for the loss against WP in the CC final was that the Sharks lost the line-out battle. It was evident that one of their key line-ou players - Sykes did not produce the results expected from him - hence the move to the Kings.
From his recent statement Plumtree apparantly thinks that Du Toit -
* will help to solve that problem; and
* is the next Etzebeth in the making.
Du Toit is nearly two years younger than Etzebeth and if he does make the grade we really would have a star locl combination. He has all the right attributes and I am certain he will make the grade. Would have liked to see tonights match - but it is not televized, Maybe I should take a ride to Pietermaritzburg to see the match.
