I see that Mapimpi is on 15 tries in 16 test, exactly the same place where Habana found himself at that point in his career. In 2018 he was my pick to make the grade ahead of Dynatyi and Nkosi, and I am happy that he is finding the try line. He is a very intelligent and involved player, quite complete. It seems rather improbable that he'll go on to have the same longevity as Habana, but he will surely be a key Bok for many years to come. Mapimpi has a 68.7% win percentage; Habana 75% (after 16 tests).

What a super player

Such a tragic background, I wish him nothing but the absolute best, in a very long and stellar  career

Unfortunately he is already 31 so does not have many good years left in him

That'll mean he'll definitely be a key Bok for a long time.

Just like Habana, JP, Du Preez, Percy, Os, Beast, Victor, Brits, Frans, Thor, Louw et al were too old and had nothing to offer. You are the class clown Unteromlett.

Injuries aside, he'll be there for the next world cup. You'll be lambasting his inclusion for a more favoured flavour of the day selection who can't deliver the goods.

Almost the whole team is in that age range. We will have an very experienced team in 2 years time.

I prefer Nkosi anyway but there is little credit in a 34 year old wing - will be a cart horse by then Don’t get me wrong dumbfuck I rate Mapimpi highly

33 is getting a bit on the older side, but let's see how it goes...he's still top notch...2 years isn't that long..

Yes, Mapimpi should have been discovered earlier- it shows poor coaching to not identify his talent.
Mapimpi will be 33 at the next world cup. The question is if he will be able to retain his pace for another 2.3 years. Given he has played less rugby than most players his age, he might be able to do it.

Born: 26 July 1990 (age 31 years), Mdantsane, South Africa
He is the best finisher in world rugby. Give him half a chance and he will score.

Our side is the wrong side of 25 these days Rassie needs to start looking at some younger players to bring into the broader squad We have seen youngsters introduced like Fassi, Gelant, Willemse ,Nkosi, Similane, Jantjies, Nohamba, Hendrikse, du Preez twins, Wiese, v Staaden, Ox Nche, Wilco Louw, Thomas du Toit and Dweba We need to add more young centres and locks to the equation There are a good few options out there

We'll be back to that cycle of hanging onto some older stars amd waiting for youngsters to step up. Esterhuizen. Dump the substandard clump of cells for good. Similane is no Bok. Neither are Willemse and Wiese. Kolisi must go. Bring in a blindsider who can actually bring something to the table.

If Similane can add 5kg he will be brilliant - best attacking 13 I have seen in ages but lacks physicality Wiese is class We have the best blindside in the game by some distance in PSDT and the best 12 in the game by some distance in DA But our future at 12 lies in James Mollentze Kolisi is class and has been very good in the last two tests Dylan Richardson is our future at 6

Unlike idiots like the Kindergarten Imbecile and Mozart I do not support the contention of selection by age of players - I support actual performance and not age as a determining factor in teams election - but not imagined cloud 9 performance the two idiots support.

You have never supported performance irregardless of age.
