Willie 7.....some great vision, with a few small mistakes. Kolbe 6 ....made some good tackles but missed a lot, quick off the mark but not that fast. Kriel 4.5 ....another gormless test with lots of missed tackles. Esterhozen 6....dropped a pass into his face and a bit clumsy, but made important tackles. Dyantyi 7....another good test, shouldn't have got turned on the Hodge try. Pollard 7....blemished a strong performance by kicking the penalty dead. Faf 5.5....lots of good things but his pop gun boot is a liability. Beast 7....very good game in the scrums and round the park. Marx 6....industrious, but lineout throwing remains woeful. Fatty Malherbe 7 ....solid game without ever securing right shoulder Etzebeth7.5....lost one lineout on a short throw, but stole one....lots of the hard work Mostert 6.5....some good things, but nothing special....money in the lineouts. Kolisi 6.5....blew one try, poor on the ground initially but improved...some good defence. Stephanie 8....botched a try, and mostly a tackling machine. Secured a good turnover. His best test? Notshe 5....took some kickoffs, otherwise a non entity. Among the reserves the props were solid and both had one big scrum. Where's the beef one might ask about van Staden. Bongi botched one rolling maul and blamed everybody else.

Nice ratings Moz. I thought Kriel was a 5.5 and Esterhozen too. Not much between the two.

Estehozen made 13 of 15 tackles....Kriel 7 of 11. The chase penalty he conceded was pretty dumb as well. Esterhosen is far from ideal but the tackle he put on Folau prevented a likely try.

Well if you take a micro look you will find he did lots of good things....eg the Stephanie steal was set up by a good low Mostert tackle. But I agree he was a little quiet.

Ratings look accurate. Jessica Kriel was pretty much the worst player on the field.

Australia seems to be a team low on confidence. Overall their sports teams have fallen apart and get torn apart by their media and fans. 15 years ago they had the best cricket team ever, and a rugby team that was as good as the All Blacks...

Mozart

What about the lack of ball carries and Esterhuizen losing ball possession twice and gave away two penalties as well.   He was by some distance the poorest player on the field of play insofar as the Springboks are concerned.

So lets get real he was not worth anything above 4.5/10.   If Kriel was 4,5/10 - Esterhhi zen was 3,5/10

As usual you see things one way....the rest of the world another: From 365: 13 Jesse Kriel: Maybe there are better centres in the Currie Cup at the moment. He was poor on attack and on defence. 3/10 12 André Esterhuizen: He did a lot of good work on defence in that midfield channel and he was physical with ball in hand. 6/10 ..... And Esterhuizen lost the ball once according to ESPN. As for the quality of his tackles, it was high. Not the Allende embrace and foxtrot.

What about the lack of ball carries

What would it have mattered? He made 70m carrying against Argentina and you rubbished it as insignificant.

Damian against Aus made 10 carries for 14m at 1.4m per carry beating 1.

Esterhuizen against Aus made 6 carries for 9m at 1.5m per carry beating 2.

Neither set the world alight.

You are very obviously campaigning against Esterhuizen because he threatens Damian's position in the side.

I mostly agree these summaries. I'd raise Esterhuizen and Faf a little higher though.

Lets get this clear - the three world rugby analysts have to defend  their BS and now suddenly everything Esterhuizen did was classy.

His tackling was effective?   that was crude defense of a player whose tackling was far too often so ineffective that it allowed for the cotin8taion of attacks through passing of the ball by the players being tackled.

Here we have the fools who always have a weird idea how to discredit players they hate at full blast -while writing total blown up stories without real substance on the useless Esterhuizen,   I hope  Earsmus see through the charade and find another center to replace that useless fake.

On the occasion that Esterhuizen did let the pass off, you must have neglected to note how far he advanced behind the ruck, catching them for a loss or, as you saw in these instances, forcing the Wallabies to play for negative gains. It was one of the reasons why the Wallabies were so lateral, they couldn't play through Esterhuizen. He'd wallop them everytime. Pollard added to the threat. Finally, a solid 10-12 pair that changes the way teams play.

Oh dear. On the ropes but still struggling on.

Even Houwing mentioned what I said in my summary - read the following:-

"Some trademark thumping hits, even if one or two tested the boundaries of lateness. One or two fumbles."

It was not one or two - more like 5 to 6 and he left out the two penalties Esterhuizen conceded.

So lets get your video going - the joke will be very funny - but remember to leave out the suspect play by Esterhuizen and try to avoid situations like the case where Mozart got caught lying he posted a video clip himself.

"Some trademark thumping hits, even if one or two tested the boundaries of lateness.....” Isn’t that the mark of a good rugby player? To be right on the boundaries without crossing them? Richie McCaw?

In tackling dumbo it is a waste of space and meaningless since the attack was not halted.
