A poll run on Rugby24 has 81% of respondents predicting the Boks will lose to both Wales and England......30% believe we will lose all our matches including Italy. Grim stuff, but looking at the squad it's hard to be optimistic. Obviously the Indaba with all it's hot air emphasized the need for a fresh approach, overlooking the fact that we have already tried that against Ireland. So we have a squad packed with flavour of the day CC players whose legs are going to spaghetti on them when 60000 Poms sing "Swing low sweet Chariot".
I'm hoping we can patch together enough fire power to beat Wales...but hoping is the operative word.

It's time to move on, our talent is not as hot as some would like us believe and our coaching remains vrot.It is what it is, Habana, JP, the Steyns are past it and playing them only robs the inexperienced of experience. It's time to cut the cord, we need to invent new heroes out of an abundance of mediocrity.

Nothing lasts forever. But choosing a team of inexperienced players is going to flop. When Pollard came into a team with experience around him....he flourished, likewise Etzebeth. There is no core for the new Boks to fit into....no natural leaders in this squad.
Jake always talked about the strength of many leaders. This team has no leaders and I include Strauss.
So we will fail, new players will in some cases implode....nobody will get the introduction new ABs enjoy. The confusion we suffered under Straueli is a good but optimistic lesson. It's going to be worse.

After years of utter neglect of the need for team renewal and of playing the most experienced team ever and losing against Japan as a result - th new coach is saddled with a totally inexperienced team. That cannot be disputed. However, we have also a game plan that is years behind what is played in the rest of the world.
Lets evaluate the other BS myth above - we played Jake-ball against the Irish in both the first test and lost - that lasted until the last ten minutes of the second test when the game was opened up and the Springboks managed to score three tries to win the test. The third test we were largely back to Jake-balling again.
The confusion under Meyer - playing an out of date style of rugby with over-the-hill leaders caused a massive decline in 2015 already and the decline has not stopped yet. Remember Japan.
I am not saying what is happening now is not a disaster - it definitely is, but we have to bear in mind the destruction caused by Meyer as a start and the addition of a dud coach and BEE requirements are contributing factors. .

Nonsense ... there is masses of talent in the country.
Our problem lies with the coach and his coaching team .
The best team on the planet would suffer loss after loss under these fools.
Try to wake up, Dense!!

There is masses of talent in the country....but the only age group tournament we have won in the last 12 years was at home. We dont win the big finals in Sevens. Our Super teams get to the finals because of a rigged system and then flop. Our test team cant impose on anybody anymore.
You live in a fantasy world fed by SA teams playing other SA teams. Many of the Cheetahs team played and failed in Super Rugby.
I hope Coetzee plays all the flavour of the day types.....again. That seems to be the great take away from the Indaba. Let the whole thing implode and then lets find a professional coach to make the best of the resources we have.

Meyer played the golden oldies and flopped in 2014 and 2015. So why not try the younger players this time around?

Because we were in every game we lost in 2014/15. Close in the WC semi........this year we have been blown out of the water by NZ. We need a team with balance, some of whom have to be newbies given retirements....not an all flavour of the day team

Doesn't need a rocket scientist to determine the very obvious...reality stares us in the face...I am certainly no expert in selecting the players as individuals but the problem is far bigger than this...no player or players can solve the decline of poor TEAM performance which is a tendancy with some of you.
It's simply the obvious:
1) NZ is dominant because they play good balanced rugby from junior to senior...rugby is consistent...attack and defence is balanced...no secret "formulas" just "old fashioned balanced rugby from the start to the finish.
England has a well coached side which will test the best because EJ is a really a clever and intelligent coach but will not overcome consistency of balance later (when they face) with NZ opponent.
They will (England) beat the "Boks" if that honourable title still exists.
2) It's frightening and sad that SA fan's can still believe in "magic" of the past.
3)The panic syndrone has set in which does not help.
4) Excuses are valid in laymans terms...the political influence is one but the other is the economic one...the tin and brass is just too weak for incentives and this issue is understandable because even proud SA players have their priorities to earn more and create a more secure future for their families and their own financial security, it is hopeless and hypocritical for the peanut gallery to dare challenge this. Play overseas is the answer...their priorities not yours.
5) The Springbok jersey value is eroding...recent losses don't help...the AB jersey on the other hand increases with huge pride in value...19 test match victories...probably 40 or more before next WC and who knows when some nation will topple them...my guess it will be France again and maybe the Pumas if the AB's relax and become complacent that day.
6) The AB jersey is far more powerful than the Springbok one...so much so and even the if the NZ$ is 1 to 10...doesn't effect them that much...their AB jersey justifiably means more... true pride...wonderful imperfect people but a happy nation that does not have criminals and charlatans as leaders...and decent people who with... with all their minor faults and imperfections don't steal and lie like the USA and SA leaders. Sure, not perfect but livable citizens...USA is buggered...Russia, well most of you don't like Vlad but he is a world leader, is strong and keeps his issues controlled and is a mystery...still to win peoples trust.
None of us have a clue...but NZ'ers are simple decent transparent people...sorry couldn't help that...while these dirty sods (over-se xed middle-aged uncouth louts) and frustrated b itches in USA tear a nation apart...NZ'ers continue to live in a civilization where more or less there is a balance , respect and decent way of living
For those looking for miracles I'm afraid it's no win...there is nothing wrong with individual players...this country,SA, is crawling with them but apart from the heavy handicaps mentioned above...no leaders to direct them...maybe JA and FS should at least be given a reign with our talent.
The horse must come before the cart...clear objective ,direction and purpose...if these coaches have the ability and character we might still regain some respect and pride but if you dream of dominance it's gone...NZ rules and deserves it.

Piffle.....in 2004 when Jake won the Trinations we only had the Stormers at 3 in the Super 12 top 4. He took a basket case Bok team under Straueli and instantly turned it around through competence. We have totally incompetent coaching, a me too AB strategy and poor selections.
It can be fixed in two months.

Nothing sadder than those who simply will not see see.
Mozart has conjured so much rubbish over the years that it's got to the stage where he's believing his own fabrications.
That is until next week ... when he contradicts himself and does his usual 180.
Has anyone on this board ever been as confused as this fossil?
Won't be long now before we see him singing PSDT praises and insisting that Jaco Kriel be made Bok capt.

Kriel made his tackles - Fat Alberts not so. Kriel has pace and ball sense - all the standard loosies are pace-deficient and clueless.

Sure but could he solve a calculus of variations problem.....dont hope too much Whacky, basic physics cant be denied. Still with two bruisers we could afford one of Whiteley or Kriel to cover the open spaces. Both is the kiss of death at test level.

Who are the bruisers? Are they the slow and talentless Louw and Alberts? The Alberts misfit played in two tests for 65 minutes and in both tests in total made 7 tackles and missed 2. In the one test he played in for 35 minutes he made NO tackles at all - so what was he doing as a loosie that day?

You have to love this stuff....we want to play a ball in hand, slick passing game. Thats the new nirvana, but there is huge enthusiasm for the selection of a loosie who cant catch the ball.

Alberts caught him when he came near to a dead stop near enough to the slow and immobile Alberts. He did not chase Barrett at all so the record must be clearly illustrated. If Barrett saw him coming there would have been no tackle.
Remember how Read squatted him in the Ellis Park test in 2013?

By the way it will have to be clearly stated that the EOYT will be worse than the 2014 tour. For the record the Springboks -
* lost against Ireland - the Irish wiped the floor with them;* did well in the test against England when Serfontein, Reinach and Birger scored tries and Lambie added 16 points to the team total through kicking at goalone test only - please note three of the above players are consistently attacked by Mozart and his favourite (Matfield) was yellow-carded in that game - can be stated that the Springboks won despite the atrocious performances by some of the elderly.* struggled against Italy in the first half - the score was 8-6 at halftime and the situation was vastly improved when Reinach scored a try and another Mozart hate - Goosen - came on and had a magic game.* lost against Wales.
So the Springboks cannot do much worse than they did in 2014.

There are many corrections I could make to that steaming pile of shyte.....I will demonstrate with just one. Goosen was on from the start of the match against Italy. The match was very close with Goosen and Lambie in particular, totally ineffective.
Then on came Pollard who was much more effective than the dithering Lambie....and on came Willie whose superb chip kick created a Bok try, by Reinach I believe.
Lies Tokkie, more pathetic, stinking lies,

Even I indeed checked and he did play from the start. However, you are brainless as usual - here is Goosen's stats for that match:-
Goosen0/002/2/5432100 1/00/000/0
That was very good stats and as said again Reinach - Mozart's pet hate - scored a try starting a forward move in scoring against Italy.
Pollard actually started against Ireland and he was not impressive in that test so the utter garbage about him being better than Lambie in that serie is as per normal a serious lie.
Other than his general remarks there was zero the Village idiot can come up with. A bad case of being caught out once again.

No they are perfectly ordinary stats, here are Willie's stats against far stronger England on the same tour....almost double the yards, and five times more tackles.
FB le Roux 0/1 0 8/5/8 78 1 0 1 2 5/0 0/0 1 0/0
The moment Goosen went off and Willie came on against Italy the game was the moment the game changed.

Your assessment of the Goosen's performance is standard Mozart BS.
Why did the Springboks struggled till half time? Look no further than the Tight 5. Any Tight 5 including Matfield, Oosthuizen, Nyakane and Steenkamp was seriously defective and they struggled badly against the Italy forwards.
