Pollard: "I haven’t been out for too long, so haven’t lost that much of my fitness. You remain relatively sharp. I’ll make sure I’m ready, whether I’m picked or not is in their [Springbok management] hands,' he added.
He did not look very match fit for the Bulls. Lots of creatine and gym, but unlikely match fit

I think that Pollard was far from fit this year for the Bulls. Fact is he slowed down badly and he was also slow in decision-making and inaccurate in kicking. If that is what he calls "matchfit" heaven helps him.

Not a chance he should be in the squad for France. I like the guy but he has zero going for him this year.

To be quite frank I would rather see Cronje at flyhalf ahead of both Pollard and Jantjies. Definitely not any of the Steyns also. The only other considerations should be Goosen or Boshoff.
Lets face it Cronje is an uncertainty, Pollard has poor form - not only in Super Rugby, but also in the tests in November 2014 and in 2015 - and Jantjies does not have the temperament to play test rugby. Irrespective of Mozart's desperate attempt to sideline the issue, Francois Steyn was sh!t poor in both 2014 and 2015 Super Rugby and will be a disaster. Although stats is not the only means one has to determine performance poor stats indicate a clear indication that there is a major problem. For the record Steyn's stats are as follows for 2014:-
Steyn0/2164126/144/1334223191836 122/350/0131/0

I must say that I agree with the sentiment on this thread. Pollard has not been good enough, and I feel he still has plenty to prove to get himself back into the no.10 jersey. Cronje and Jantjies for the June tests. Pollard must pull serious finger for the last couple of Super Rugby matches, and he can maybe have a look in at the Rugby Champs squad. Depending on how the other two perform in t he June tests.

You're all correct, but I get a feeling he'll get in the squad purely because of our lack of fly halves.
I hope he can get back and to his best, and isn't like Goosen who also had a great first few bok games before injuries ruined his ceiling
